Remember, “Hate Watching” has now become the fuel for
YouTube pundits who make a living off of “commiserating on things that suck”.
It’s one thing to crack jokes and laugh at the absurdity that
Disney has created through terrible creative decisions and incompetence (and I wholeheartedly laugh at these type of videos), but when the criticism is no longer expressed with good humor, and becomes conspiratorial, dark, and celebrates failure by fueling negativity for profit, like selling t-shirts that celebrate the horrid RT score of
The Acolyte, it’s no longer humorous; it’s somehow different.
For me,
The Acolyte is an objectively terrible show and I encourage everyone who feels the same way that I do to simply turn their backs on it and back off on fueling people who profiteer off of “Hate Watching” (…at this point, a huge chunk of those who are now watching this show are just people who are tuning in to see how bad it can get or how it may upset them…).
There is an inner peace at the center that comes with apathy towards a terrible product. I never finished
Star Trek: Discovery, Willow, Ahsoka, etc. and I will just as easily not finish
The Acolyte.
