The best experiences I had when i was young was playing the X-wing vs tie fighter and X wing alliance games... I still have the CD's of Xwing alliance but they are all scratched up... Need to find a way to run it again.
Holy Crap I should have looked at this earlier... there are HD mods for this.

Remember, “Hate Watching” has now become the fuel for YouTube pundits who make a living off of “commiserating on things that suck”.

It’s one thing to crack jokes and laugh at the absurdity that Disney has created through terrible creative decisions and incompetence (and I wholeheartedly laugh at these type of videos), but when the criticism is no longer expressed with good humor, and becomes conspiratorial, dark, and celebrates failure by fueling negativity for profit, like selling t-shirts that celebrate the horrid RT score of The Acolyte, it’s no longer humorous; it’s somehow different.

For me, The Acolyte is an objectively terrible show and I encourage everyone who feels the same way that I do to simply turn their backs on it and back off on fueling people who profiteer off of “Hate Watching” (…at this point, a huge chunk of those who are now watching this show are just people who are tuning in to see how bad it can get or how it may upset them…).

There is an inner peace at the center that comes with apathy towards a terrible product. I never finished Star Trek: Discovery, Willow, Ahsoka, etc. and I will just as easily not finish The Acolyte.

For the life of me I don’t understand fans who continuously watch shows they hate.
I loved the first season of Supergirl but bailed halfway into season 2.
I’m a big Trek fan who watched everything up until the Discovery era. I watched season 1 and a few episodes in season 2 and then quit.
I don’t watch things I hate just so I can go online and complain.

There is a cynical side of me that suspects that streaming content providers, like Disney, and YouTube pundits actually, unintentionally, feed each other.

YouTube pundits’ most viewed videos are the negative ones and Disney+ gets a ton of attention and views from people who are tuning in to watch a train wreck and / or to “hate watch” the content. Look at how a quality show—Andor—struggled to find viewers and attention, in comparison to the The Acolyte.

The end result is, in the modern era, divisiveness is good for both studios and YouTube pundits in driving awareness and views. It’s a matter of whether YOU choose to participate as the consumer.

I don't think people are subbing to hate watch acolyte, that may be the plan but in reality no one has the money right now for hate watching anything.

If Disney didn't have it's own streaming service and had to rely on selling these show to netflix/amazon you would get a totally different product.

Ferengi rules of Nielsen Ratings:

# 280, positive reviews of a show are good for business.

# 281, negative reviews of a show are good for business.

I imagine some of it comes down to fandom itself. If you've followed a franchise long enough, you're emotionally invested, even if that love turns to hate. Emotional investment doesn't always mean positivity. You can't easily drop habits. Especially the ones you know are bad for you.

Just like following a baseball team your whole life. Even if the roster's sucked for a decade you hope they'll win the pennant every year.

I found tie fighter on stream. Had to order a new joystick for it :)

I haven’t looked, but I assume the X wing versions are on there as well, but I enjoyed being a tie pilot.

I guess veering off a little but thanks to PS Plus. I have the ability to try out some Star Wars games that I didnt get to play when I was younger. Currently playing Star Wars: The Clone Wars and its a little rough lol.

As usual, LucasArts is great with vehicle combat (this was released during the PS2 era) but personnel combat is rough lol. Really is a huge leap to what we have now with Jedi Fallen Order (although Im pretty sure Jedi Outcast already had blaster shot deflection as well). Its a little funny seeing Jedi masters just tanking shots like idiots when less skilled padawans deflect multiple blaster shots like its nothing.

I bought that for PS2. I think I bought a PS2 on sale, got GTA Vice City, and the Clone Wars game in 2002. I really liked this one. The Star Wars Legion game actually has a model kit of the fighter tank from this game. I remember the Jedi Starfighter game being pretty fun. I think I rented it from Blockbuster and always hoped it would get ported to the PC like the Rogue Squadron and Starfighter, but it never was.

Just saw that chick from the Acolyte put out a diss track on "toxic" fans. Oh snap!:lol::lol:

Veering wildly off subject but in relation to scratched discs I have had great results using polishing car compounds and dental rouge on a polish wheel in the past.
The only one it didn't work on was Tomb raider 4 which I found out later was the game itself being flaud..

I thought Ep 4 was much better and like the dodgy maybe Sith guy who doesn't got bogged down by the clanky script.

Thanks i will try that...

I was looking through some old SW Insider mags and one from 1996 had an editorial titled "The Best Of Times!". So I think we know what stage we're in now.

Despite the disappointment of The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi, and now The Acolyte, I REALLY enjoyed Andor and am looking forward to season 2.

As for the Mando and Grogu.. I REALLY don't think making it a feature film is a good idea.

100% on everything!

I don't know if anybody has shared this before but here's a music video of sorts for AC/DC's Thunderstruck with footage of the attack on the Death Star from ANH. The song fits amazingly well with the footage.

OK, this did crack me up, when I heard it…

I agree. Still I'm not sure I'm going to shell out any money for Disney plus to see the next Andor season. I still baffles me how they screwed up Obi-Wan and Boba Fett. I mean those are a no brainer!
