I've released my Ark of the Covenant 3d Files

So I mentioned this is a kit form build sold by goldenarmor. This is a tutorial worth watching, His methods are crude but definitely show steps that I believe will help guide us through assembly. Also painting tips for high gloss gold

Ok, so you big shots may want this Alumaluster -VERY EXPENSIVE!!

I have had great success using Spax Stix-- VERY REASONABLE!
Comes in spray cans or airbrush form already mixed for spraying-no need to knock down.

You dont even need to own an airbrush set up, these work fantastic. Click the amazon link below

or 2 pack

Home Depot also sells them in the paint department but amazon is cheaper unless you catch a sale

Now you're just showing off

That looks great!! Are there tutorials or read me's on assembly? - I can't find anything-nor build logs.
How heavy is this this becoming. Very curious with the prints/lumber combo. Remember, Rebelscums original build was not from 3D printed parts and I'm not finding anything other than those kits he sold.

There's absolutely nothing. Im not even convinced mine is the right size. Lol. I went to put the bottom trim panels on the box and non of them fit. Lol. Its going to take a little tweaking, but i am overly ecstatic about it. It looks amazing and I love it.

I'm just drooling over your pictures--I would be very excited if I were you as well. Outstanding man--looks killer!!!!

Even though we are using the 3D prints, I am starting to believe we should be looking more at the assembly from the original kit build. I'm thinking he may have just substituted the parts from resin to PLA with the slight exception for the leaves. His original kit was wood with leaves laid on top and being 3D printed, there was no real reason to have to shape the wood seeing how it can be achieved via print forming.

When you made the wood box, did you miter cut the ends or did you connect them on the edges? I think one way makes the box longer.
I believe you are correct-- This page below shows the miter

Just connected. It was off both directions. Lol. But honestly if I would have adjusted it to fit the bottom trim pieces im not sure i would have been as happy.

Agreed. Sorry drinking and cooking. Not much makes sense to me right now. Lol

We thought about the mitre and said screw it. Lol. Honestly if I had the bottom of the Ark measurements. The very bottom piece it would have been a lot smoother. But honestly im drooling. Wait till you see what I build to go with this. Going to be epic

How wide are your top corners for the upper leaves? Just curious now because you teased saying you're not sure if you're printing the correct size. If yours and mine are the same, I'd say we're good. Mine came out to be 6 inches wide
