Limited Run Holocron/Kit

The Kanan Jarrus prototype is here!




This uses the same shell as the other "Stolen" holos, the Cade Bane and the one I'm thinking of calling the "Glib Ersatz." The lines are laser engraved on the outer face, and the inner is lightly hand-sanded for diffusion.

I haven't weathered this one yet. I think on the Kanan Jarrus' I'll do a lighter weathering job -- just assume Kanan, Caleb Dune. and Ezra Bridger took better care of the Holocron that Obi wan Kenobi recorded his final message and warning on. At least, better than Cade Bane took of the Holocron he stole and hacked to get information about the Force sensitive children.

I know this was a popular request, so anyone that needs to change their order to a Kanan, please let me know (and confirm details, and give me a valid shipping address, and so forth).

You got it. That's why I held off shipping until people had a chance to see the Kanan. I'd hate for anyone to be stuck with buyer's remorse.

My local supplier has been out of the light blue for a month so I'm a week away from being able to cut more of the Kanan Jarrus parts. I still have four complete sets of the "Glib Ersatz" (Stolen A) ready to go and waiting on addresses (two more kits shipped today and I'll be IM'ing the tracking information when I get home).

I'll be back in the shop running off Kanan Jarrus parts next week. I have 3-4 "Glib Ersatz" parts kits ready to ship (I'm eating into them slowly as I build them myself).

I'm just back from the shop with four Kanan Jarrus kits, which will go into the mail Monday at the latest (have to finish testing the lighting modules).



Production is winding down. I've got a lot of no-shows, and a pile of parts I'm no longer sure anyone is going to use. So I'm backing off from spending any more time developing on this. I'll hold the thread open for long enough for the people who expressed an interest to get back with shipping data and payment.

I gotta say, there's no embarrassment about pulling out. Financial situations change, especially these days. And tastes change. I've got over a hundred things cluttering up my "save for later" cart at Amazon, Sparkfun and Adafruit.

I just need to know, so I can stop stockpiling parts and start cleaning up this project. So let me know one way or another.

I sent you my address on Feb. 4th and confirmed my interest and provided the email to send the invoice to on May 10th since you said you'd be shipping it out Friday of that same week. I haven't heard anything since.

StarHelix, my deepest apologies. I thought I could make the original deadline. But I got overwhelmed with everything else and lost track of which details came out of which IM. I've been tracking every bit of changing data on a spreadsheet but it doesn't have the capability of tracking by date, so I've been doing precedence largely on what stock I have available at that moment.


I'm dedicating this weekend (for once, I don't have to be at work!) to shipping that one out, and the only other confirmed orders I have (four Kanan Jarrus kits).

Other than that, this has become so deeply frustrating I am strongly considering closing the run this weekend.

It was never about the money. I can best serve the community's needs at this point by making the remainder of the files publicly available so they can go to laser services and PCB manufacturers themselves. I'll annotate this thread with links as I figure out the best places to host the files.

And just to pile on, this kit is fantastic. Started assembly this weekend and the instructions are awesome. This was a fantastic run and I really appreciate nomuse's efforts to make this happen.
