Hello RPF, after a while of making a few of the prequel sabers I wanted to make an original. As an Engineer my creativity is figuring out how to make things work, I am not an artist so this was quite a challenge for me.
Back in October last year I had made a sketch of a saber inspired by Naboo tech. Something simple, elegant and slick. This is the sketch I made:
Now after this sketch i made several iterations of the model and after a while the model was completed:
Obviously i added in a few more details, but overall it has the shape i wanted. I also figured it be best to have the shrouds made out of brass. I needed a name for it and I made a facebook contest. The winner was Paolo Tacuyan with the name Monarchy.
I have now the prototype and here are pics of it
It is installable and will take a 7/8" blade and a 28mm speaker. It is very slim so the chassis is a bit of a cramfu. Here is a demo of the instalation.
Finaly here is the box artwork made by my good friend Christian Cruz
Monarchy is already available for Pre-Order and production will be complete by June 2025.
Cost is $275 (hoping the tariffs dont change for the worse again), if you pre-order at the full price you get a discount.
Included with the hilt:
- Blade plug
- Additional mirrowed shroud
- Free 3d files, saber stand and chassis for Monarchy. You will be able to get these at launch already printed for an additiona cost.
- Collectors box designed by Christian Cruz
Also available at launch will be the installed chassis by Giovanny Fernandez from Aldhani Customs. Cost of the chassis not available at the moment but expect it to be similar to the Clan series installed chassis.
