First look at AvP 2 !!!

I'm going to wait to see an actual trailer with some movie footage before I make a decision on this one... I'm going to pretend I didn't see that pic lol!

For some odd reason I don't think this might be a real movie shot from the movie. IMO Predator and alien look awesome but they look like figures to me or statues. Hummm... :) Anyone else think this.

The predator just looks to fake. IMO.

They change the creature and they miss the one thing that really bug the hell out of me about the first one. The bio looks to be too small for his head. Look at his jaw hanging out of his mask. Everything else does look fantastic. Im even willing to overlook the way the alien looks as all the aliens have had a different look. It more resembles the Alien 2 alien than anything else. Anywho, i like how this pic is set up and can't wait to see any more!!!! WHHOOOOOOOOOO

Interesting photo! I'm wondering if it really is from the film ? as most of you, I agree with the alien head it has to much stuff on it I want the Hr geiger look back dammit ! anyways the predator looks good so far ! I just wonder if the head design changed back to P1 or P2 stlye ?? I hope so ! will be instering to see what they did with the armor too.
 
Couple more points...

-the body better be leaner and more like P1 and less like footbal players
-if I see rehashed AVP armor, heads, or massive body types I will be absolutely pissed right off. They had damn well better make new heads with all new armor. P1 and P2 armor were original and very different. In AVP it was new, but all of them wore the same one.

If they rehash ANYTHING from AVP I will be 100% pissed off. That would mean that they dont give a rats ass about the fans and ignored all the negative feedback they got from AVP.

Predator's are all different and original. Like Rob's designs. They shoulda bloody well brought Rob in on AVP2!


...actually, maybe they did. Compare the cheekbone lines from Rob's drawing to the Bio. Anyone notice how similar the Bio is to the drawing?!

Yes it's real. It originally came from the official German Fox Press server. The directors commented on it on IMDB

Colin: "On-set photos are never taken from the correct lighting angle, because they are working around our motion picture camera," Colin Strause said, "so this will make the photos not look as good as the final movie. They are too front-lit, too bright, and might be missing all of the slime on the creatures, because the photos are usually taken in-between takes."

As they stated before, everything about the Predator has been redone with this new one, to their standards, not Paul Andersons. Ian Whyte even said in an interview, the suit is tighter and more streamlined, less bulk. The only thing they may have reused slightly are the alien body designs, which were still modified at least a tiny bit. Also from what I gather, the Predator will be a loner, a more experienced hunter... ass kicking ahoy. :)
 
All I know is I liked Predator, I liked Predator 2, I liked AVP except the fact the preds got killed off way to fast. I agree with Kit (A good story line) and alot of action.
I will go see the movie and buy the DVD. Im just happy they are continueing the Predator saga.

Right now thats what im hopeing for is good story line and movie to set down a enjoy. I dont care right now for what the predators look like or the Aliens. As long as the Alien looks like the Aliens and Predator looks like the Predator i'll be happy. I hope they studyed the older movies. There is just a bunch of movies out right now that just are not that good.

Lets just hope this one is decent.
 
Trying not to get my hopes up too high on this but I'm really looking forward to seeing more stuff on the prop side of things, Nice pic so far.

I can sense a lot of sculpting going on within out lair over the next 12 - 18 months with inspiration taken from this film which is always a good thing. :)
 
hmmmm The 48th Ronin said there`d be new cannon designs and we`d like em. So far, from what I see in the 1 pic, I ain`t feelin` teh cannon love yet.
 
this picture is boaring and there is nothing difernt about them at all besides some small details ..i dont know what the excitement is for..
 
The Alien looks like it belongs on the power rangers! When did aliens get short? Even if this isn't the movie picture(I bet it is) still fun to speculate. The directors said they liked the 1st of both movies where they didn't show the creature until 45 min into it. So this might be the only time we see them in the movie!LOL :)

Well I just hope its not crap. In the picture it is hard to tell a lot, but a new armor suit will be a nice add on to the suit thread.
 
I liked AVP and I liked the way the Aliens and Predators looked.
I don't like what I see in that picture. That Alien looks like crap.

NO SIR I DON'T LIKE IT.

If it isn't broke then why fix it yet every film they think they need to change something. WHY!

Sorry but The Frist Alien and First Pred are the best.
 
first, there was something about the first movie i didnt like.

i agree that the pred died to quick in the movie.

i didnt like that Bishop was killed, he is in Alien part III and is a human there.....hmmm okay how the H can that be, he is not a android becourse you can see the red blood on his head, and was he an android, the blood should be white.

im not so keen on the story about the preads is holding the Aliens as hunting pets, no way they should meet them in space instead or an another planet.


But i must admit im looking forward to alien Vs predator part II, but will agree that the alien looks like a mc farlane figure and not a movie monster in the next AVP movie.


i can see what Xcalibur means with the bio, it really looks to small if you compare the bio with the other bios in the other movies.
