Unfortunately, no. It would require complete disassembly of the entire front end as well as a new core all of which risks breaking the sonic.

The gloss coatings on the copper and silver parts on the sonic are removed as part of the conversion process.
On another note, I am having a few more sets of claws cut out next week. If anyone one wants a sonic with the new claws, please let me know as soon you can., the new claws will be an additional $125.
Hi just one question,
do we have to take the shiny gloss coat and the grey paint of the sonic after we have bought one or can you do that if requested ?

just PM kursosawa and request information on the sonics, He's a really nice guy and will help you in any way possible. you can either get both the remote and toy yourself or he can do it for you, and once he's got them you can customize it by changing the core colour and emitter colour, and if you want a set of waterjet cut metal claws, that will cost a little extra. I advise you to read the whole thread as any questions are usually answered.

have you already had it converted? if so, it's not possible to fit new ones. It involves a new core, and taking apart the front end all in which risk damaging the sonic. And if it hasn't, then i'ts gonna cost an extra $185 dollars on top of standard conversion fees.

Yeah got mine converted a month or so ago, just wondered if I shipped it back, whether Gene could fit the claws, so I don't break it. Obviously I'd pay for a new core as well. Is that something you can do Gene?

On the subject of retrofitting a sonic with new claws: have been thinking that it might actually be possible to take an existing sonic and retrofit it with the new claws. Someone suggested using a heatgun to soften the core and make taking apart the front end with minimal impact on the sonic.
I will be trying it this weekend on my own converted sonic and will get back to you with the results. If it doea work then I will be offering a retrofit option.
