Cloud City Lando Comlink Run

Hey there,
thank you for the kind words!

Sorry, progress has been a bit slow, I'm obviously a bit all over the place as usual, it also took a bit of time figuring out that last top cap part. And summer is my least efficient time of the year, it's between 32 and 38°C in my workshop every day, it's very hard to get work done.
anyways, things are moving forward and will soon be done on my end.
we have figured out how to go forward on the top part and I have also finally figured out how to machine it after two failed prototypes.
almost there!
(machined and sanded first opperations, still need the other end to be machined and the thing polished to a chrome look)

I'd be interested in a second run of these, if that were to happen.
Although I very much doubt a second run will occur... I'm also down for one but fully aware it probably won't happen and if it does there a lots of folks ahead of me. Cheers on an excellent project though. Love watching the progress. Next is Lobot's headset!

Hi there, sorry, I going fast tonight and I posted the update in another cloud city thread by mistake!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I had a pretty hard time with the resin bezel parts! took 5 test batch to get them correct.
Everything is almost ready, i'm going to see with Ryan for the last details and see if everything is good, and I should be done on my end :)

Did you have these 3D printed and made a mold of that?

You should consider offering these as part of the Luke ESB glove compad...the knurled transcriptor screw and the copper prototyping board are easy conversion parts

At first, they were supposed to be cast by Ryan, but he got shown some new ref that made us realize the bezel part was hollow and the mesh was put from behind. So the bezels have been accurized more after this and are all resin printed now as they would have been a bit painful to cast now.

Luke's com has a bigger base on his. The top base is also trimmed differently.

Hi,
all parts are finished on my end, just need to finalize one last thing before shipping, but this is all going into a package and to Ryan in a few days finally!

Today I machined (twice) the master for the top clear cap. Very difficult small part to machine and we don't have the best refs for this part, so there is of course a tiny bit of interpreting to do for this one. However, we did our best and I think it will look nice on the final prop :)

hey there, I don't know if you guys are familiar with Ryan and Julie's packing, it's always a fun experience when you receive a package from them :) so I did a bit of the same craziness for them to experience a bit too :)

I hope to ship this tomorrow if all is arranged with Ryan before, if not, Monday then.
cheers all!

I'll let Ryan answer from now on, but I know he received the parts a while ago at least :)
