I think Ryan said decal, probably water slide decal, I'm positive he'll get it right though. Thank you for the speeder bike ref, that is cool :)

Alright, just a quick word, I have heard quite a few people dropped out, I just want to explain that this is a one time only run on my end, I have plenty of other things to attend to after this, I was offering to increase the run to 25 after the initial success of the interest thread but after the drop outs, Ryan ultimately decided to keep it to 20. I'll not do an extra batch of parts after this, so if you are interested, I advice that you jump on it now.

I don't know if the price felt expensive even though this is a finished prop, please understand there is a lot of research and work to get those right, we actually started discussing this run early last year! Ryan even identified the real part for the mesh on it and is offering the replicas each with real mesh! On top of this, there is a lot of small intricate metal parts that I really pushed myself to get perfect as Ryan was adament about getting this prop exactly right, I haven't communicated about this, but we actually even started over the flat bar detail in the center as the switch variation that was usually regarded as correct was in fact still a bit different than the one seen on screen, and again, we wanted to get it perfect!
first version based on a real part on the left, final version on the right corrected based on the screen grabs from the movie, it's subtle, but since this is a one time only, we wanted it to be spot on :)

and this is the nail on the coffin cool small detail, there will actually be a ball and spring inside the center toggle cylinder, just like on the original:

Ryan is a great caster and painter and i'm sure the assembled props are going to be awesome! And I'm saying Ryan as he is the frontman, but his wife is also behind this and she is just as talented and they make a great team, so you guys are definitely in good hands :)

For the small story, this is a photo I have from April last year when my own wife worked on a prototype acid etched mesh when it wasn't yet identified. I'm super impressed that Ryan then managed to indentify the real part for it! (this is just for the story, this is not used in the end as the props will come with real vintage mesh!)

alright, thank you to all the people that responded so far, I hope the rest get back to Ryan quickly and we can make this a sucessful cool run :)
cheers

I was thankful to be able to take one of the slots yesterday.

I really appreciate the engineering and research that's involved with a project like this, and there is always something about those original props that showed up in the Visual Dictionary . . .

Thanks for your work, guys!

thank you for the kind words guys :)
we are figuring out the last decisions with Ryan and Julie regarding the top part and the main bezel part with the mesh part so progress has been a bit slowed the last few days. As soon as this is finalized, I'm machining the last parts and sending them over to Ryan.
cheers all

Maybe that's why I like it so much, my OG visual dictionary is definitely well loved.

Hey everyone,
Julie and I have been extremely busy and haven't chimed in recently. We both want to express our gratitude for all the hard work that Eethan has put into recreating these parts for this run. My wife and I have a lot of work to do on our end, but recreating the metal pieces in this run including the undiscovered speaker bezel piece is all Matthieu. We've only consulted with him and provided images so we can get this project as accurate as possible. He has been very patient and precise with his work and we just wanted everyone to know that he is a big part of why this run is going to be as accurate as the refrence images you have seen. Matthieu's work, for those who are familiar with it speaks for itself. If you're not familiar with his work we highly suggest you look into it!
Thank you so much Matthieu!

Thank you so much Ryan, that is kind of you :)

Super happy to get in on this run. It's such a unique piece. Knowing Ryan Clinton and eethan are tackling this is really a huge selling point for me. They are both committed to the highest level of quality and everything I've received from them in the past has exceeded my expectations. Thank you both for continuing to take on unique and interesting projects with such care. I have full trust in both of you and I'm willing to wait however long it takes.
