Building The ANH 5'Millennium Falcon

Thanks much guys, very much appreciated.
Really pleased how it's coming along, albeit slowly haha. Loving the weight, which is way below what I envisioned. I can lift it easily on my own holding each end of the docking ring armature end tubes, but will need 2 people to get onto the stand. Stand is being modified this week as it wasnt working as smoothly as I would have liked in rotation.
Working out how to fix the battery in position for ease of removal & connectivity today & fitting the final dome quarter.
Magnets ordered to embed in the topside dome. These will allow the upper gun turret to be removable to get to the battery & the inner mounting point bolts. Underside gun turret will be permanently fixed in place.
Planning only goes so far on a build this big, sometimes mods & little things not thought of come up...its all good, but so far it's all falling into place!. If a childhood me could have only seen this...

Finally floating free off the makeshift assembly table & onto the stand. This stand was modded for better rotation in 30° increments & nice positions in the 12/3/6/9.
The core is all sealed up with domes fixed in place.
Final mandible fitting being done now & then onto the 4 walkway assemblies.

Been a while for an update again, but here is more progress.
Three walkways built & detailed, one to go.
Now onto plating the underside port front. Marking out & placing the plating here will give me the exact ANH big pit positions & insert my pre-built pits. I'll then go onto the starboard side under & repeat.
Will also start the big landing gear box to attach also this month.

How much Kool Shade, in terms of square centimeters would you estimate is needed for the 5 footer??
I have a stash for a TIE fighter build... and may have a bit extra ..enough for this bird

Amazing stuff. Love the color of the raw parts before paint. I almost wish the 'Solo' Falcon had that coloring.
Hi all!. A small update on the build.
Big underside rear landing gear box finished, fitted & detailed. The detail heavy rear virtually complete & now working on the engine flap strips which will be cut from my remaining domes & detailed.
Oh, the starboard front big pit also fitted in place & plating almost complete there too.
All 4 walkways fitted & oh yes, the cockpit tunnel fabricated also ready to detail.
