Back to the Future Guess Marciano Denim Jacket Replica

I only just noticed that this jacket will be used for the waistband. So your version will be a 3-band? Or are you going to slim it and make it a 2-band?
It's either being cut down to be 2 segments or simply sewn in higher than normal to be 2 segments. I honestly haven't asked lol.

Contributing here to show my real Guess jacket after updating the lining and leather patches.
Re-used the buttons that were originally on the leather patches, lightened up the blue and the darker jeans was also a vintage 80s George Marciano Guess jacket, so everything is 100% Guess apart from the Hollywood and paisley lining, but really happy how it turned out!
I know it's not screen accurate to keep the Guess logo on the pocket and I am pretty sure the Hollywood lining was going across the entire back but I really wanted to keep what originally identified the Guess jacket.

I've also given a good clean on the buttons but keep forgetting how effective brasso is haha, but most of the buttons were almost pitch black so might give it a little vinegar and salt lotion to bring back the vintage brass, but I do like the clean buttons!

That was the jacket prior modifications:

Splendid Emma... Now photoshoot is on the horizon I guess! speaking off, is the lining is from the HG or Nick Fox one?

Not a big update yet, but I did just confirm a few details with the arms. Which pieces to use for the arms since I sent in 2 sets of different sizes. One set for the actual arms and the other for various other pieces. I also confirmed that they still have the arm bellows. Their official names are guesset pieces according to Indy.

Bought this jacket for fabric just in case Headgoonie's turns out too dark, although I might use a pair of jeans and do what dhennick99 did and just replace the leather.

Definitely much lighter, and I'm not sure if I prefer it... The leather is also very soft and the jacket as a whole is VERY light (weightwise) compared to my genuine one. The sleeves are also baggy enough to be rolled up, but they're not split at the cuff. Just a button. Very weird.

Any versions of the jacket serves its purpose to be honest. I think we're just a crazy handful ones looking for the perfect one.
To be entirely honest, I'm not 100% doing this for BTTF. I just think the jacket is really cool, which is why I am probably going to reline it with white if I can't special order it.

Perhaps this is a dumb question, but has anyone tried contacting jonnytrooper about his jacket? Or does he straight up not want to share info?

Also, perhaps this has been answered before,
Why is it that, in the movie, the main gray always appears a soft blue color, but every gray/blue vest or jacket that can be found (like jonny's) is straight-up just a monochrome gray with barely a hint of the indigo. I speculate that the one MJF wears is an earlier run, which is why it has more attributes of the later 1983-style half-and-half jackets (like the one you sold me, Mitas), with the 2-segment band and the bluer gray, as opposed to a 3-band and monochrome gray like the 1985 zip pocket jackets.
Maybe it's just me being crazy, though.
Edit: It's probably just differences in lighting and filters, and I AM crazy. Also, the attached photo of my jacket is not a good example.

You also gotta take into account that his jacket was brand new 40 years ago. As well as camera technology they were working with.
