An RPF Open Source 5 ft Millennium Falcon Build/Reference Thread. All Are Welcome

Maybe Craig can chime in here, but I'm confused about this part of the Docking Ring map.
The piece in the center looks like the Hanomang part, but the part map labels it as the Sherman. Am I missing something here?

Thanks,
John

Ok. Be honest. Does this work for ya? I haven’t glued anything yet. When I do, the gap around the curved edge of the tank hull disappears. The seam will be hidden by the 8 Rad parts. Height is 14mm based of the PG.

Gap? What gap? You mean the one you made disappear completely with Perfect Plastic Putty?

There is no gap. There is only do or do not, with Jedi Plastic Putty.

The last piece I'm looking for is the part underneath the Sherman in red. It says It's the motorized Tamiya M4 Sherman, but I can't find a kit scan to confirm. Thoughts?
Thanks,
John

to be honest it looks like the same part on the end of the X-Wing wing, underneath the laser cannon. that's part of the hull of the Tamiya 1/35 M4 Sherman.

It's an upper hull grill section, cut out and then cast/replicated, which only the vintage Tamiya 1/35 M4A3E8 Sherman gives you the right dimensions on. You then cut these in half, meaning you get 2 of the 8 greeblies you need from the original. You also need part #A11 from this kit for the upper mandala section - here too you only get one per kit, and you need two of them, for port and starboard side, and so you have to make a casting.

Four Sherman grill castings are stacked vertically in the center of this picture -- you cut them in "more than" half and discard the center section, and you have the 8 pieces needed for the Docking Rings:

here some scans of the Tamiya M4 A3 E8 Sherman. Sadly don't know any more where I found them, else I would give reference here.

Still looking for this guy. It's the last piece I need to finish this pit. Any ideas? Landing gear maybe?

So this guy is labeled on the old maps as Nitto Hanomag Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Rocket Launcher. Looking at scans, I'm not seeing it. Can anyone confirm this one?

As a side note as today is Thanksgiving here in the U.S. I'd like to tell you all how thankful I am for all of your help and friendship over the last year. Hard to believe it's been that long since I started. Even if today isn't Thanksgiving for you, wherever you are, I hope you have a great day!

Would anyone happen to have a shot that shows the red side of this pit they'd be willing to share?
