No I've got a set of Stubby(short) marker pens from the 70s (still work!) and they are only about 3 inches in height maybe only sold in UK.
Ill try find one in my old cracker box and post a pic.

school wipe board pens prolly circa 77/78 (I'm defo old school)

Ill check bin in my loft which has all manner of 70s stuff like badges pens topps etc..
