Hello im looking to try and recreate Brett's jacket (or as close as i can get to it)So, jacket finished [emoji4]
applying the color on the back went wrong first, the skin doesn’t accept it... but after I scratched/sanded the surface of the letters it worked!

And here are some of my other Nostromo uniforms:
Brett’s jacket converted in a light summer jacket, the original is way heavier

And the crew shirts, Ash‘s light blue is finished and the white shirt is in progress... (the patch is one of those cheap Thailand imports, I’m gonna change it to a more accurate one)

You look great Sir! Very much channeling the correct vibesThought I'd make a rare appearance and add to this venerable thread with my own Nostromo uniform.

The shirt, belt and pants, and all the patches, wings and pins are the fantastic work of Adam at Nostromocrew.com, and I couldn't be more pleased and impressed with just how amazing and accurate they are. Adam was a pleasure to deal with, too, and provided me with great help and advice on my purchases.

The cap is (I think) an old Thinking Cap Co. cap I've had since the 1980s with the patch replaced with a new more accurate one from Adam.
I modified an equally old pair of white Converse All Stars I've had for years for the boots, painting out the branding, sanding off the texture of the front bummper and adding a new one from self-adhesive white rubber, adding a third vent hole, and making the fastenings from 2mm white leather strips and white-painted 12mm D-rings and 8mm chicago screws.

The jacket is a vintage RAF Mk3 cold weather jacket from eBay, modelled after Kane's jacket in the movie. It's a more modern one than was used for the originals, so has the padded pen pockets on the sleeve, and arrived a nicely faded NATO green. It was dyed using RIT all-pupose dyes (2 parts navy blue, 1 part purple, 1 part pearl grey) and washed several times to fade the resulting colour. I added the pink piping (again, thanks to Adam at Nostromo crew), and drew out, printed, and hand-cut a vinyl stencil for the 'Nostromo' lettering on the back, which was stippled with acrylic paint using a sponge to bring out the texture from the inner lining. The sleeve lacings are hand-made from 10mm webbing on a cotton canvas panel (23 loops per strip to fit my jacket) and hand-stitched to the sleeves. The laces themselves are 4mm paracord (3mm would probably have been better but I couldn't source any the right colour in the UK and 2mm was way too thin).

I 3D-printed the watches and the backing plate on my resin printer from files by EveningNewbs on Thingiverse. I made the displays from scratch in Photoshop, based on a photo of a genuine Casio F-100, and then cut thin clear acrylic to size and shape for the 'windows'. The strap is real though!

My coffee is in a vintage 1970s Tupperware mug from eBay. The white ones are rare, but coloured sets can still be picked up cheaply in the UK. This one is sprayed with food-safe white paint and given home-made waterslide decals for the logos. I got a set of 4 for £12, so there's another on the display shelves powering my drinking bird!

The EVA pistol is 3D printed and painted by me from STL files by Gojira72 on Thingiverse.

As far as I managed to gather, they were custom made. Not an off raw shelf item.Hi, may be a question answered elsewhere that I’ve been unable to find, but were the white shirts with the breast pockets worn by the crew (namely Lambert in her death scene) ever identified? Trying to put together a crew costume (just completed my Lambert liner jacket with accurate patches) and I’m digging for the next piece. Thanks!
That does help, thanks so much!As far as I managed to gather, they were custom made. Not an off raw shelf item.
The shirt is cotton, but the “Front Yoke” is linen. Hope this helps!
There's a listing on fleabay for a Nostromo jacket for $109. They say it's handmade. Curious if they lifted these pix from here [which are clearly a modified RAF jacket] but they actually sell a jacket they make new.
"Customized orders and wholesale orders are welcome. If you want your own design/custom jacket, please provide us with pictures and details so we can offer you a very competitive price. We also offer bulk orders at wholesale prices. While our shop operates from the USA, please note that due to lack of stock, some products may be shipped directly from our manufacturing partner in Pakistan."
Never heard of anyone offering bulk orders on real RAF jackets; partners in Pakistan. Sounds sketchy.
Not my shoulder patch.Well, if we confirm that's Adam's shoulder patch, then your suspicions would be correct...
The jacket image is of at least one of three jackets made by Andy3E, one of which went to Adam Savage. Some additional photos taken be Andy3E.
And a fine recreation of that iconic costume SirThought I'd make a rare appearance and add to this venerable thread with my own Nostromo uniform.

Emailed them directly.NostromoCrew Agreed--which is why I didn't link the listing but posted pix here as a warning/amusement to the community. No wonder they didn't show pix of their actual product; where did you find them?
