Tha Mechanic has been MIA for the last month due to family issues (?). Many folk were waiting for Walking Dead patches, but he's disappeared. I'm in for a couple more Nostrome patches as well, if another run goes up.

I was fortunate to get the two I did, then went back for more and they were gone!! Here's one of mine accenting my 24hr scratch-built Nostromo pistol. Total pistol cost: $4.00

Thanks, they are from scratch, I made them out of pieces from the shirt I used for material.
I forgot to thank MacGyverSG10 for posting the sketches of how he made his shirt, those were the patterns that I went off of for mine.

Hi Jonesy, It's 100% yardsale debris! The grip is the lower half of a Star Tours blaster, main tube is scrap brass, point sight is two lawn sprinkler centers, main tube rear cap is off the blaster, front cap is a cake decorating syringe tip, and a block of wood above the point sight. Hose tips / mounts / and a $2 scope from a Daisy bb gun. It's far from screen accurate, but it was close enough for a halloween prop! Jeff

Having devoured all 27 pages of this thread, let me say: I LOVE YOU ALL! I have a tendency to do, shall we say, more obscure costuming, and what I would've given for a resource like this for some of them. Am starting my Ripley for SDCC (etc) next year and this has been wonderfully educational!
Also: if I ever have kids I'm definitely making them mini Nostromo jackets :lol

This is a great thread! My girlfriend loves the Alien movies and also has a thing for jackets, so I think I'm going to try my hand at making her a jacket.
