Limited Run Accurate RotJ Force Pike - Weapon of the Emperor's Royal Guard

invoice paid, thank you very much tom!! this run wasn't easy on ya, we all appreciate you extra effort!

Tom do you have a over length of these, rummaging in the shed looking at extra wood, i want to build a wall frame for it.. but now thinking i wonder if a base ball bat display box would work?

... do they have golf club display boxes? google time..

I would also like to find out some kind of display for the pike. First thought of the saber-stands Saber Stand , but not 100% sure of the pike size

I have to keep it inclosed, my living room is way to dusty.. I have to dust at least once a week, and this would be one more thing to dust

I found a base ball bar display case that holds a bat and a ball on top.. inside length is 39”

Once I have the pike in hand I’ll share with what I go with

Hi Tom - wanted to see if I should be on the lookout for the invoice or if I'm in the next batch? Didn't want to miss the email. Thank you!

Picked up a lovely stomach bug from my son's daycare so I've been out for the count since last Friday but I'm back! I've checked through the 27 pikes the factory sent me and they are indeed good!

I'll be packing up and getting shipping quotes/sending out invoices for the next 27 in line and the factory tell me they will be shipping the remaining pikes soon! :D If you're one of the next 27 on the list expect to receive communication soon!

Pike is 48" exactly, as Johnnyb says :) I will be working on a wall mount as soon as I can find a shred of time, probably something similar to the link there.

You'll be the first in the next batch of invoices sent out :)

I am updating the list on the front page when I send out invoices, when they are paid and when they ship, if you guys want to know where you are in the list and when your invoice is coming you can find out quickly by looking there :D

That means about 122 cm.
If you are going to make a stand for it I will wait, if not too long. Do you intend to make it like Saber-Stand (vertical, base holder + top ring) or something different? Metal? Plastic? Wood? Any ideas? Thanks

Depending on this I might even consider making a display plaque for mine as well. Maybe get it signed by Quentin Pierre as Royal Guard, we'll see

I plan on modeling a wall mount. Something simple like a pool cue holder or something. If you wanted to help me come up with a good design.

I'll be using a Mag-lite D-cell wall mount for the handle and a AA cell mount for the top!

Whoa! These turned out awesome! Thanks Tom! I had full confidence everything was going go as planned so I put this run out of mind for a bit. Glad I did because had I known how good these were going to turn out, the anticipation would have killed me. Can’t wait to get it on the wall. Thanks again!

Yeah that's probably the easiest way I think, and they would be 3d printed. One from Saber-Stand would be a great choice if it fits as I believe they're injection moulded. I could design one with space for a plaque...

Didn’t think of a pool stick holder! Yes very clever!!

See if you can find a shadowbox designed for displaying a single pool cue, that should fit your requirements nicely :D

Brilliant, this is a great looking and cost effective display!

Awesome, I figured they'd start arriving today, glad to here it made it there ok and you're pleased with it :D

I have 9 invoices out there now, I want to try and have pikes shipped within a day of payment so I don't want to get too ahead of myself (they're pretty time consuming to pack and box up) so don't worry if your invoice hasn't come through yet unless you're marked INVOICE SENT on page 1 :)

Also guys when your pikes do arrive take care not to lose the clear acrylic pommel cap, they are press fit in there awaiting your choice of more permanent fixing method (I'd recommend E6000) and I wrap the bubble wrap extra tight around the pommel so if they come loose they should be held in place, but they are polished and glass clear so don't throw it out with the bubble wrap if it comes loose in transit

Tom,
The original estimated price for this item on 9/10/18 was $175 to $200. I paid my deposit on 9/12/18 of $100.00. On 10/19/18 the price was increased to $225.00 <due to machinist change> I was willing to accept this increase. I understand that things happen and runs get extended and I was in no rush to get the completed item and appreciated that you were making sure they turned out as nice as possible. But when you did not make any updates from March 4th until May 4th, I became concerned. Mainly because my PayPal protection expired on 3/11/19. But at the time PayPal seemed to accept the dispute I filed on May 5th but I realize now since it was after the 180 day window it was instantly canceled. Then after you saw the email I/others sent you responded on the thread on May 5th. All was ok again at this point. Then on May 30th you increased the price again to $255.00 <due large import fee from shipper> I did not see this additional $30.00 increase until I received my invoice from you which I was also surprised to include an additional charge on top of shipping(expected) which was you wanted me to pay for the PayPal fees. Not only was that not right in my opinion but ($285.42) was more than I wanted to pay for this item. Since all of these changes happened after I made my deposit and happened of no fault of my own, I expected a full refund of my $100.00 deposit. But I was surprised to see that you only refunded me $96.80 keeping the original PayPal fees of $3.20 plus you refunded it to me as a PayPal purchase so I was charged another $3.12. So now I am out $6.32 due to no fault of my own. I have tried to work this out with you via email but for some reason you think it is ok for me to be out $6.32. Therefore, I called PayPal and luckily even though my PayPal protection ended on March 11th for the deposit and they did not have to do anything they did refund me the $6.32 that you should have. This was poor form dude. When you went absent from the thread for two months everyone said you could be trusted and not to worry but I guess they were wrong. I hope the feedback function gets reinstated on RPF in the future.
