I considered it a true honor to have a go at this and get to play with these excellent ships.

Kuhn, Thank you for permitting them to be composited. Your pictures were a delight to work with. Excellent set up.

Rel and atemylunch, truly superb job on the BB. Thank you all so much for letting me play. :)

BTW.. there will be many more Blue Screen pics to come soon of the collection that many here have helped to create. ;)

That's the greatest sentiment ever and said wonderfully. Thank you Kuhn Global :thumbsup and it makes me even more happier to be here with you all on this fantastic website of dreams. :)

Will so love to see more of your fx supervised shots of work from the fantabulous model artist gods on here :love

OK,
I'm confused...

The pics, while Absolutely STUNNING, are giving me conflicting info.
The cargo pods are not "square" on the front and back. (yes I KNOW they are roughly triangle shaped...I'm referring to the front and back profiles)

one side is square to the rest of the ship and one side is sloped.

Here's the thing... on post #37 the slanted profile is to the front and post #54 shows the slant to the rear.

My impression is that it is supposed to slant to the front...so was #54 a goof in construction? :confused

You're right! LOLOLOLOL No confusion, just an error by me. ;)

I had layed the ship backwards in the cargo containers and didn't realize it until I had already photographed the ships together. I have since corrected the problem by just picking it up and turning it around! LOLOLOL. ;) The way this one is built, the cargo containers act as a base to the actual vessel. I was justy excited to photograph the beasties side by side and was not thinking.$:)

Good observation! :D

What a relief!
I'm so glad to find out they weren't permanantly glued that way

God that looks awesome - You totally lose the sense of scale in those pics - doesn't look like a dinky lil model at all! Has the second batch started to ship yet? Can't wait to start mine!

I sent out the first half of wave 2 on Tuesday and I'll send the rest on Monday and that will be all the orders sent. They go priority mail so it won't take more than 2 days to arrive in the US. The overseas one take longer of course.

arrived today:thumbsup

now my wife has to put up with me running around chanting
[russian accent] Botany Bay?.... Botany Bay! [/russian accent]

I must say, that is one damn impressive kit
only one air bubble that I found on the whole thing

can't wait to get rolling on this

That's so funny.

I have this thread on automatic e-mail notification. Anytime anyone posts to the thread, I get an e-mail titled "1/350 Botany Bay." And whenever I see that title in my Inbox, I say aloud to myself, "[russian accent] Botany Bay?.... Botany Bay! [/russian accent]"

So you can imagine how good a laugh I had just now when I said that aloud and, immediately afterwards, read the text of your message. :lol

Looking forward to seeing pictures of your BB build! :thumbsup

:lol

the Mrs. said she can deal with the chanting as long as I don't try to put anything in her ear!

My three popped in today. This is a quite impressive little kit. I knew in my head that it was just under a foot long but after all the wonderful pictures and such somehow I "preceived" it to be larger. The detailing is perfect, and it looks like it will be a breeze to put together ... of course I always think that until I start gluing filling and sanding... but this looks like little to no putty work - thank god...

Thanks REL!

Jedi Dade

I received mine today as well. What a cool kit. Now to see if I can do it justice. Thanks Rel. :thumbsup

quick question

on my little set of greeblies there is one that I'm not sure where it goes

it is identical to the one on the rear of the ship's tower

where is this supposed to be placed?
