Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Yeah, I've recently been informed this scene plus the first scene with Hugh hiking to the compoud where he encounters the wolf, were both pick up scenes among some other misc. fighting scenes.

Yeah the commentary talks about how the wolf scene is a wig over his Van Helsing hair. Very poofy.

What's everybody favorite Wolvie hair from the movies? It's changes so drastically from scene with varying results.

A hell of a challenge to translate this-

into something plausible that an audience will accept and enjoy.

The stylized greaser pompadour idea for the 3 X-films was a cool solution. They changed the approach with every movie but it also looks different in every scene. Sometimes it looks awesome, sometimes not depending on the shot.

The Origins hair is much more mellow and "normal" while still looking cool and in character. The origins hair style also looks more natural. I don't like the idea of wolverine spending an hour in the bathroom every morning getting the "hair-do" ready with assorted gels, pomeade and hairspray. Wolvie doesn't "primp".

Its basically a longish men's haircut with a few pointed wisps pulled out to the sides from time to time.

Sometimes not-

Tough call.

I liked the Origins styling best....It works without looking "made to work"...Still Wolverine, but not unrealistic...

While his hair in the original three films did work well, there were times when it looked a touch too over stylised, and I preferred the flowing style of Origins..It worked without looking like it did...Clever design...

It's also a haircut us fans can actually wear without being laughed at in public....And to my mind, is still "wolf-like" enough to work..Like Sabretooth from the comics as well...It works well..

Regards..

Just FYI, SuperDrool makes unbelievably accurate and extremely rugged handmade leather Wolvie/Logan belts. Tony...I think after every couple of pages that you need to re-post your belt and X-strap pics. Thanks again for the belt. Going to wear the heck out of it.

Hollow...Yup...Seriously...The whole Wolverine intro in that movie kicked arse...Sooooo damned cool....After that, whatever they did was good enough....

Pure genius...Fully agreed..

Regards...

Thanks Struve. I'm just glad everything worked out. :)

On the opening scene in the Laughlin City Truck Stop, I can safely say I was sold from then on out on Hugh. But I will admit, as a hardcore fanboy, I was sweating some 50 cal rounds up until then.
:lol

:lol I thought so too...

I can't seem to remember the fella's name, but he also designed the Colossus armor for X3. This is his FX company, which designed the X2/X3 suit. Kudos for all the awesome work though.

Got any good X1/X2/XO shots of Logan's boot by chance?

Man I love looking through my collection of X-men photos.

I love how you can see the wires and the spaces on his claws here-

Yeah, that photo must've been a pre-CG'd shot, maybe even a quick promo for the film release. But it's the first real time you see the Berserker rage!

Since we're on this image and I"ve recently come across some new info on Hugh's famous ribbed (rare and expensive) tank tops, here's the inside info on the Zimmerli company of Switzerland and why their products are priced accordingly:

As requested by Superdrool, here's some shots of Wolverine's Boots from X2.

The first three show the boots a little. The last two are just to round out the set. I wish I had these at a better resolution.

Super cool pics of the X2 jacket at the end of X2. How do you get the jacket to have that awesome patina (shine)? Looks amazing.

Also, I think Wolvie's hair in X1 is by far the best. The bar scene in the beginning just looks perfect. Its kind of curly and messy but totally has the right look. In X2 it looked like he was trying way too hair and it just looked like Elvis on a bad hair day, X3 as well. And origins is fine, but it looks totally different than the other films. And its just so shiny and perfectly cut that it sort of looks like a shampoo advert to me haha.

Definitely x1 for hair, x2 for jacket... for me anyway :)

Thanks Nick. I have those same promo shots. I just wish there were a better resolution to them, so I can see the boots. You can sort of make out the red Levi tab on the last one though. ;)

I'm with you on that 1BAT. I thought XO was the best though, as it doesn't seem like there's any product added, so no frills, but at the same time it's less iconic like the others.
Throughout each film, his hair differs so much in each scene, so I think it's hard to really say which is the best. But X2/X3 were awful. :lol

The 1st film hair was a wig and he grew it out for #2 so it was real hence the difference. There's just too much hair and fullness in #1 to be real. That pic above shows what his hair really was at the time as the wig would go on last.
