Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Could someone post a side by side shot of the X1 and XO jackets. I find that I have a hard time knowing which is which at first glance.

Also, about the Indian Head buckles. There seem to a be a style which is readily available on Ebay in which it has bits of coloring. Besides those bits, the general design seems to make a good replica. Anyone ever modify one of those?

Are you referring to the buckles labeled "Geronimo Indian" on ebay? Be careful as some are listed as only fitting up to a 1 1/2 inch belt.

oh yeah...the XO sleeve gussets are considered Aussie style gussets as they open and have a wind/weather flap of raw edged amber leather.

Yes, that is the one.

A standard belt (the type you put buckle on) is usually 1.5" wide. Are you saying a replica of Wolverine's belt would be wider?

Also on my tag the spacing and text location is a little better than it first appeared

Yes, they did a really good job on the size and placement of the text.

Got my Heron X-O style jacket in the mail the other day from the ebay seller I linked a few pages back. Its AWESOME!! Great quality, I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get a Jacket under $250. Ill take some pics soon.

Yes, most of the Chief buckles (Great American, Bergamot, IMC, SandyVal) are made to accept either a 1 5/8 or 1 3/4 inch wide belt, the SandyVals are definitely 1 5/8.

SuperDrool makes a great belt although I am not sure if it is 1 5/8 or 1 3/4 inch wide. He would probably know exactly the width of the movie belt.

Very Excited to see these pictures
although, not sure I am enjoying the lack of communication I have been having with Jeggs and Heron...

Speaking of watchbands, mine is doing very well. I've been wearing it everyday since I put the watch on. I wet molded it a couple times last week and conditioned it today.

That's great news! I'm also wearing one from that run I did, and I can safely say I'm very proud of the way they all came out. Where the pins go may have been slightly too thick, and I will ensure the next run that they are thinned out more for the acceptance of pins. So this is all done with reverse engineering as I've never owned a Red Monkey Vintage strap. All my work is based on provided stills, then analyed like most other props. So there is always tweaks that can be made. ;)

Yeah Tony, If you made the band with the leather that takes the pins a little thinner the bands would be better for sure. Once I got my watch on the band it was flawless.

roger that. I'll make sure that gets implimented next run. As for any new belts or watchbands, I'll be ordering new materials sometime in October, so I'll update everyone in the respective thread as to when I'm ready to receive more orders which will be small, like last time.

Font looks good. The '4' may need to have a larger/more pronounced gap, or the small vertical edge be cut flat and not angled. The '8' may need to be fatter on the bottom/smaller ontop. Does that make sense?

I see the bottom edge is sharp, which is true to actual tags but not screen accurate.

The numbers are still a work in process, I'm mod'ing several fonts into one. The 4 also looks as if it has different thicknesses throughout. I need a better 8 as well.

As far as the bottom edge, I am not sure exactly what you mean. I think the bottom cut out could be a little more shallow.

EDIT: ANother update.

When I'm not busy I will. Resin that my friend had in his garage ^_^. I based it on the X1 design. They look like em but its kinda tough to bend the wires that the hand piece is attached to to make knuckles fit better. I may just wrap the hand pieces with tape to make it fit better. I'm gonna finish em off with a gloss coat to give them that metallic shine then they'll be 100%.

Despite the movie, the XO jacket has really grown on me. I'm real curious about how this one came out. I ordered an X1 from an eBay vendor in Mexico a couple of years back and although it looked good, the leather was THIN. I'm looking for one with a little more substance to it.

For the members who own one if Jeggs, would you compare the thickness of leather to something from Wilsons Leather or is it ticker/thinner? I love Dan's jackets, but can't really justify spending the money.

Wes
