Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

@Kiwimick A custom XO jacket would be fantastic! The replica X2 jacket @comonbub traded to me from OLF is great! Milos at The Original Leather Factory created the X3 jacket used on screen. Check 'em out! Could make ya the XO I bet....\I/snikt\I/

Who besides me is popping claws agian this halloween? Unfortuneately my new fire department won't let me have chops so I'll be going masked up :/

I've had my XO jacket from wolverinejacket.com for four years and it's still like new. Good quality jacket for a less cost. the jacket goes for $350, but if you comment Solider to the purchase you get the jacket for $325

It's been a while since i posted in this thread so a couple of questions for anyone who can help.

1) Last time I was here, Heron were teasing with updates about theire revised X-1 jacket - has anyone seen it since? Bought one? Got any reviews?

2) Has anyone successfully ordered a custom fit jacket (regardless of style) without getting bogged down with unanswered emails?

3) Has anyone got any feedback on their version of the Days of Future Past jacket as illiustrated HERE (under their alternate name Best Jackets):

4) Of all the other manufacturers - Wolverinejackets etc - has anyone developed an X-1 that's not stupid pirce like Magnoli and Belstaff?

Thanks in advance

Here you go guys, I'm prob the only person in the world who has this :p Scowl for effect, well worth the money.View attachment 204577View attachment 204578View attachment 204579View attachment 204580

I know it's been a LONG time since this post.... but how is the warmth for this baby? And the sizing(a Medium is supposedly in the chest 44"?) . I'm looking for an actual winter coat having moved up to the Vermont area....

Those boots in design work fine, yes...Although not exact of course....

I think the new Wolverine film has "Wolverines", Raiders type, in brown, with a steel toe...They're the pair I own and are very decent boots...So worth a look at for themselves...Men's Raider Wolverine MultiShox® Contour Welt® Steel-Toe EH 6" Boot - W02419 - Steel Toe Work Boots

But the ones you posted aren't a million miles off the originals he used in the first few films....

I own the non-steel toe version of these and I have to say, worth the damn money. At first they were horrible, but I guess that was breaking in period. Now, I wear them every day for work. I can't thank Wolverine or The Wolverine enough for my purchase of these babies.

I've worn them digging ditches, riding horses, walking cities, building houses, etc. They're also getting a great look to them the more I tear the crap out of 'em

Great purchase and a go to boot.

@fifthchamber do you know what's up with dan? Is he still doing the DOFP jacket and if so, when is it going to be out? He seems to talk with you more than any other guy on here so if you can find out, that'd be great!

Also found a really good looking repro of the DOFP jacket from the looks of it, what do you guys think?

Can't see the Jacketmaker.com jacket, they seem to have removed it...

And no, I've not spoken to Dan for a while now, he was busy due to family loss and after that I've not sent him an email.......

I suspect the DOFP jacket is still on the lines, since all the focus has been on X1 and getting those out for Legacy....I suspect that's where he is right now...So...No timeline for the release of the DOFP jacket, just yet....
The family and the comic-cons he's been doing have kept him busy as far as I know, so I wouldn't expect him to reply to an email soon, but I'll send one maybe and see what he says eh?

Odd...They changed the names of the coats...Well the FIRST one is the DOFP one, the second one is pretty good looking TW coat. Just wanted to see what you guys thought.

Meh.....the second one looks decent...But the fur isn't thick, so the effect isn't the same....Not bad, but not superb...

As for the DOFP, I'd avoid it, honestly, out of all the makers who sell them (Dan excluded for now), I'd suggest Wested as being the best for the price....You'd need to custom order, and ask them to shorten the length a fair bit, as the Wested ones are long bodied. but the leathers they have are great, and the other design points are very clean and accurate enough to pass.......

I abandoned the idea of having that DOFP jacket from Dan.....I tried everything I could, on each media I could to reach him and never received an answer !!! Even on his eBay shop !! I guess he answers only to his close friends or clients....sad !!!

Not really....He's recently had a loss in the family, as I stated before, and has been busy with that.

He's never been amazing with replies, but patience, and emails that stand out can help him notice the emails better than those sent with no title etc.......

However, as I said, I don't think the DOFP jacket is going to running just yet, so there's a long wait ahead either way, and maybe that's why he's not emailed back? There's no jacket to order, just yet.......

I don't think we'll see a DOFP jacket within a year, even if it's just a prototype from Vanson. Can't wait that long, I tried. I'll be taking my chances with that DOFP jacket from thejacketmaker.com. The cut, pattern, and color look good enough for me, so I'll let you guys know how it is when I get it. I owned a Wested Origins and it was absolute *****...From the lining to the cut of the sleeves, I've seen theWolverine get it on here and it just doesn't look right when it sits on a body. The sleeves themselves look like tubes and felt like tubes on my Wested Origins and they look the exact same way on the DOFP jacket. Just my 2 cents...But yeah, getting the other maker DOFP jacket. Will have photos when it arrives.

Does Wested still base their jackets off their Indy pattern? I know they have good Indy jackets, but not all styles the same base pattern and just wonder why can't they make a new pattern instead of modifying an existing one. Especially if its a DOFP pattern that is totally different than other patterns with its "V" shape look to it.
Just hope nobody falls for some crap like this:

This looks, to me, the best DOFP jacket on the market right now as far as cut and pattern are concerned. Just ordered it, will be here in a few days. If I don't like it, I can always return it but not before I review it.

I don't think Vanson were ever in the running to make the DOFP for Dan.......He got the prototypes done by another company, and I think the intention was to run with them, once the new brand kicked off, and if DOFP jackets were to be offered.....Vanson, as far as I know, weren't being asked to make the DOFP for Dan.....

I'm not sure about thejacketmaker.com jacket......It looks wrong to me...Both in cut/fit, pattern and colour.....But, we haven't seen one for "real", and photos on those websites don't always help.....I'd like to see what they send you, either way, so please do post pics when it arrives if you DO order?
