What was the last movie that really stuck with you?

Ninja Assassin was awesome!!

I just recently saw this with my dad on ppv, and enjoyed it immensely. Not to mention that Sho Kosugi portrayed the master. I didn't even recognize him until the end credits rolled.

Brought back memories of when my dad took me to the theater to see Revenge of the Ninja back in the early 80's.

I just watched The Graduate again; there's a reason why it's considered one of the best films ever made!

Hmm recent? Avatar for me, not everyone's cup of tea...but I really enjoyed it.

And kudos to the person that mentioned Twilight Samurai...brilliant film.

Man its hard to pick just one. I haven't seen many lately that stuck with me since most i've seen before and i tend to only buy movies from the 40s-to early 90s now. I think Terminator and Aliens were the two that stuck with me as a kid and yes my folks let me watch them when I was little in the 80s lol. I blame them and those 2 movies with my love of scifi. Roadwarrior and thunderdome are in that area too as they've really shaped my love of post apocalyptic.

I can't believe some of you are choosing films from the 80s...have you not seen anything more recently that's worth mentioning??

I rarely watch a movie made since 2000. They just feel soulless and drab to me. I hope the Road was better than the stinker of a book it was based on.

Last movie that really stuck....
Gran Torino

Great film, great performances all around, great overall message but most importantly...Eastwood really knows how to get viewers to actually 'care' about the characters in his films. That's probably why it stuck.

Prior to that...
Legends of the Fall
...an epic film.

It might sound cliche...

But Star Trek II has and always will be that one movie that has stuck with me.

That and Revenge of the Ninja- which I have on right now.

Preach it bud! I love everything about this post..WOK is always a fun flick and by far my favorite ST film, well that and Galaxy Quest.:lol

And Revenge of the Ninja...Sho Kasugi (sp?) man that brought me back. They just dont make ninja movies like they used to. Being a kid in the 80's and loving ninja flicks was the bomb.:thumbsup

I really should say Crystal Skull too for all the wrong reasons though.
A hard lesson was learned about letting the nerd herd mentality dictate
my ticket purchase.

"The Iron Giant" - I still remember walking out of the theater asking myself what the hell just happened, all I did was go watch an "animated movie". Sadly there weren't many others in the theater with me, but everyone else had the same dumbfounded expression and freshly-wiped eyes.
