Uncharted 4 A Thiefs End

Looking good, Thain! I plan to mock up the magazine and newspaper article as well as do a few more of the inserts over in illustrator, but I had a wedding to attend at the tail end of last month and 2 more coming this month, so I'm a bit tied up. If no one else posts them then I will when I'm able to get them done.

Found this on a gaming site.
Will have to try it out.

A few tips for successful photos...
1. Turn off the Photo Notification bubbles in the PS4 settings. This will keep you from getting the annoying camera icon notification in your shots. This was just added with the latest FW.
2. Switch the file format to uncompressed PNG instead of lossy JPG in the PS4 System Settings. The files will be larger, but more beautiful.
3. Take screen shots using the built-in Photo Mode. Turn this on in the Uncharted 4 settings.
4. Get familiar with the different filters, zooms, tilts, and especially the Depth of Field (DOF) slider. This will help you draw focus to certain objects. Start by upping the intensity of the effect initially (R1), setting the exact distance you want and then gradually rolling back the intensity (L1) until you hit the perfect level. You can also hide characters if you just want the landscape.

I'm settling for close enough for the letters until I get more time to hand write them from the actual pages. For the time being, I'm finding if you mix a few fonts you can get something that looks really close to all the finished pieces. Some take more doing, most of Thomas Tew's writing was compatible with the Santos Dumont font with some help from 'Angelface'.

Blog of the artist than did Nate's journal and many of the notes found in game.
Also did concept art.

Was this done digitally?

If not, I wonder what journal she used as a base. It makes the Moleskine look pretty inaccurate.

Edit; It's obviously digital upon second look. I wonder if there was a base book used for the shot, it looks real.

Since She likes working in watercolors and gouache I'm guessing real paper.
The flowers appear to be painted.

You could always contact her and ask.

After playing through a second time (according to the stats) I appear to still be missing almost a dozen entries and letters. :facepalm

Yeah same here :) but i have decided to buy the gold pirate coin on ebay, as that is the coin they find in the game. Dont know why the coin is silver that comes with the guide.

From what I have seen, the gold one was a pre-order premium at Best Buy.

You can get them on a keychain from shops in the UK and Australia.

I went through the guide yesterday and wrote down all the entries and notes (some aren't even listed as bonuses in the book)
Looks like I'm only missing about 5, a couple I walked past several times.

Got the hardbound guide as well with the coin.
Also picked up a couple of the gold ones from Ebay.

Also picked up the delux leather bound edition of the "art of uncharted" and "art of Uncharted 4"..cones with a cool slipcase for both books.

I picked up a gold coin from ebay as well. Once I opened it however I realized it isn't accurate to the game, as when you flip it over the ship on the back is upside down. The person who made the coin from the first game has also made accurate versions of the copper and gold coins from A Thief's End, so I purchased those from him; can't wait to get them.

That could be a regional difference from the maker, US coins rotate on the vertical axis where as British (and I think European, it's been a while since I had any) coins rotate on the horizontal axis.

Any contact information for this person?
I'd be interested in getting all 3.
