I tend to agree and lean towards a better cannon ‘continuity’ to match the Tricorder color discs to the TOS data cards colors….both are forms of data storage and for identification purposes (in a Star Trek setting) would match better when categories assigned…for engineering, science, command, communications, geology, etc …imo.

Enterprise, oftentimes in conjunction with futuristic broadcasting devices that would play the inserted data on the chips. The props come in two sizes with 12-measuring 3" x 2.5" and 3-measuring 2.5" x 2." The props exhibit age, production wear, some scratching and minor chipping to paint.
