The Wand Company TOS Tricorder is coming!

I'm sure TWC have learned from that and will email out invitations to buy in advance to those who expressed interest when the stock goes up on Amazon USA.
Not sure how that would work. In order to buy in advance the items would have to be visible on Amazon in order to purchase.
Not sure if this will still apply or if it will reassure anyone but when I received my invitation to purchase the link took me to an amazon page that later expired after my purchase was complete and when I searched Amazon it wasn't on there at all. Later it appeared to purchase for anyone, so it seems they did prioritise those who registered an interest.
For over 48 hours it was visible on Amazon UK to anyone before they sold out .

That was the same experience I had.

It seems like a lot of people are winding themselves up over this.
They'll be ready when they are ready.
If you've signed up with your registration of interest you will get an invitation to buy.
Harassing Chris and the Team constantly won't get them to you any quicker. If anything it's probably distracting them from doing their job.
Nobody has had to pay a pre-order deposit, so you don't have money at stake here as you would with other companies.
But I want to play with it for a few minutes, then put it on a shelf, to gather dust, for the rest of my life!

Yes but if you read my post again I stated that it was available on Amazon after I received my invite and purchased one and was not visible on there before or during.

My fear is that when they finally do go on sale scalpers will swoop in buy them up before we’re able to buy them.

Doubtful. They will be over $400. It it were at the original $299 and then$350 prices I may agree. No one is gonna go in there and buy a dozen of these at $415 a pop. Also they are not limited and will be in production well after all these initial deliveries. Lastly...let's say resellers do grab them all. So what....personally I'm at an age where I just don't care. Collectables the last 20 years or so have gotten so sophisticated and detailed not much surprises me anymore and I don't really need it. There is always something else out there. The market is literally FLOODED with collectables for adults now. Can't have everything...:)

In that case, here's a different one with some added humour. My dumbass only just realised that the SD card slot has a removable blank in it. I thought it was just molded that way ....... and some of you will love it I FOUND AN EASTER EGG

Then I can only assume that they were not sending out invites due to the fact stock was up on their site for close to 48 hours which seems a little odd considering the amount of people that expressed interest around the world .

I'm already bored with it and don't have one. Everyone posting the same pictures and content about it has bored me to tears I'm sorry to say.. lol
I love your way of thinking. I used to be SO excited about getting one, but now, well, now I’m thinking I could put 400.00 to better use.

Couldn't tell you buddy. All I know is I had an invite and bought one when Amazon UK wasn't showing it when you searched, only appeared a couple of days after. I don't know and have never had a reason to understand how their process works.

I'm not all that worried about scalpers buying them all up as TWC would just keep making more of them as long as they keep selling. What concerns me more is them ever going on sale again as it appears the delay is on the Amazon side and who knows what they are doing.

thanks Don, I think that actually Amazon is also struggling to keep up and that is what has caused the latest round of delays. The world of manufacture and commerce works on such a tight, just-in-time principle that when some thing disrupts it, it goes wrong very quickly. Given the sheer volume of components and products moving round the world, there is very little contingency. After the tariffs effectively blockaded product shipments for a couple of months, the window of lower tariffs (for products made in China) has created a tsunami of shipments all wanting the same freight and inbound services and for most companies, this is overwhelming. This is clearly what has happened at Amazon US. We are looking at a pioneering service that Amazon is offering that will ship products directly fromt eh factory into their warehouse. We are one of the first to try out this new service and we hope it will speed things up for the next couple of shipments”.
