Not exactly. There's been no ruling on the merits. What the appeals court did was grant an administrative stay of the lower court's ruling pending appeal. We'll still have to see which way the appeals court rules; then whether it will grant the loser a rehearing en banc; and then whether SCOTUS will grant the loser's appeal from the appeals court. There's a way to go yet. Also, we're still in the 90-day pause window on the China tariffs, so very little has actually changed. Lots of tricorders loading into Amazon US as we speak, and another shipment coming behind that...
I bow to the lawyer amongst us. Have you heard anything on when the Tricorders are going on sale at Amazon US?

Chris has been answering that on the blog--in a nutshell, there are a lot of moving parts with the Amazon process, involving trucking shipments to their hub (in Chicago I think?), and then to various distribution centers, and apparently that's a nontrivial process. But that's how they get stuff to you so fast after you order it. We just never see the crazy leading up to that. So I think he said they're expecting to send out both US and UK emails next week (ish).

Yeah, that was the administrative stay pending appeal.
Just expect to pay more people. The stock already shipped. They won't be going back down to $350. Waste of time to just keep speculating at this point. People can always wait for a later shipment under a lower tariff to save a few bucks I suppose. But that could take months..
Probably not many due to FOMO. But buying the first batch will cost a bit more here in the US. That much is certain.
The Communicator and phaser were around for awhile. I remember seeing both in best buy. These tricorders are will be for sale for at least a year. If people want a bargain later probably best to just buy one and get a second. I'm guessing the reason for a second for most people is either gift it or resell. I'm going to ask if they will eventually be at best buy..

Before anyone gets annoyed, the left hand one is the first one I was sent a few weeks ago that had a fault out of the box and is being returned. I just wanted to get a few shots side by side with the different screens.
In full credit to the WandCo they got a new one to me before asking for the faulty one to be replaced. The customer service is top notch.
I hope they make TNG, DS9, VOY and ENT replicas next. Their attention to detail is great...unlike another company out there at the moment making woefully inaccurate Trek replicas.
