I turned mine off as I preferred to keep the look of it as per the original prop.
I honestly just left it on by default. I turned it off for a bit when testing everything and you can't really see it. So I can see why they made the choice they did. I also wish it was less of a warm tone to the light but then again, mid-century, maybe a warm bulb fits better.Looks like most folks like the lighted moire'![]()
The wife rolled her eyes.
Can you upload a short video unlimited?I didn't think I'd like it, but the moiré is so damn dark without it, I always leave it on. My only quibble is I wish they'd included the option to switch that LED to daylight color temperature, but that's not a huge deal.
I know. I hate ducking autocorrect.Not lighted
Stupid spell checker.
If you tilt it back so the light hits it, it's more visible, but standing vertically, it's in the shadow. Even harder to see in real life than it is in the video, when standing up. just looks like a dark gray circle. Can you upload a short video unlimited?
Us non tricorder owners would like to see![]()
yeah, outside or under studio lights I'm sure it would show up fine. but under normal indoor lighting conditions while standing vertically on a desk or the display stand, it's pretty hard to see in real life. Thanks, I see what you mean. You almost have to have it lighted to see it. That's OK though it still gives you the option for no light.
I like the light and keep it on. One of the prototypes had a cool white light behind the moire and it looked too blue. I’m glad they switched to the warm white. Thanks, I see what you mean. You almost have to have it lighted to see it. That's OK though it still gives you the option for no light.
This is interesting--I don't think it qualifies as an Easter egg, but if you let the power go down far enough (presumably below 10%), the indicator starts flashing. Pretty cool.

I don't think it counts as an Easter egg either.
Next you'll say: shutting off, when it runs out of power, is an Easter egg.![]()
Well to be fair $400 for something that doesn't really do anything practical and is in essence just a toy doesn't sit well with wives and never will. LolThey always do.
