The Wand Company TOS Tricorder is coming!

Now next for The Wand Company……. My wish is a full on bells and whistles and lights TOS Rifle with a true low wattage laser output…..

This one I have below is non-electronic and 3D printed and quite dusty at the moment :) bought on eBay/Etsy long ago and may still be available.

Rodenberry dot com sold an electronic kit version long ago….it’s my understanding that it was a hassle to put together.

OH yeah I want this so bad!!! Been waiting for any company to make this FOREVER!!! I think something was made years ago and that was it!

Yeah that BSG blaster is pricey too, but it's 499, which is still pricey!!! IMO I got the DutchCylon version with better electronics for 300! Happy that FE is making some great stuff, just wish their prices were less.

My guess is The Wand Co will keep the assembly line open until the initial demand dies down.
My guess is also that less than 1/4 of the pre registrations will result in an actual purchase.
It has been 5 years after all and for the most part we are not a young group, and some might
have multiple registrations.

But that should still amount to plenty of tricorders to be sold!

I'm 37892, I wonder if I will get an email in the first batch?
I hope so, but probably not.
 
I would love to hear that their production runs into the six figures, but who knows? They never talk about their actual production numbers; we can only infer that their overall sales are earning them a profit by their continued offering of new products. And things like footing the bill for flying the initial shipments direct to the UK. Can't do that sort of thing if you're running a deficit, or at least you shouldn't.
 
Wow, some people are really going bat-guano insane over on FB about the Amazon thing. They're convinced there's no way TWC can keep interlopers from purchasing the tricorder once it goes live, and they're screaming about it. One reason I don't generally post in the fan groups over there. That place be cray-cray. :p

I mean they basically admitted there's no way to enforce the 2-per person limit. My bet is on the link getting leaked immediately and scalpers buying them all up.
I really hope they have a better plan with unique links that are invite-only so that people who've been in line for 5 years don't get passed up.

The FOMO is real!

Sure, and I hope so too, I just don't see a reason to get crazy about it when we really have no solid information to go on yet.

Here are the assembly manuals required for the Roddenberry TOS Phaser Rifle……
Not something I would have had the patience and skill for.


And supplemental electronic option…..
