The Definitive Marvel's Daredevil thread

Hey guys. I had a really great chat with liz a few months back and managed to track down both the screen accurate sweatshirts matt wears in S3.
The first is a Carhartt cotton thermal crew neck. And the second is a carhartt midweight crewneck sweatshirt. I can also confirm he wears 2 sets on James Perse pants throughout the season. I’m stroll trying to track down the pair he wears in the final episode. So far I have bought 3 different pairs of James perse pants
Hope this helps guys!

My WIP DD season 3 mannequin. Still trying to figure out the muay tai ropes and of course a much better mask. But liking where it’s going...

Also, my DD season 1 display almost finished. Just building the billy club holster as the moment. This was such a fun project, trying to track down all the components years after they have been discontinued. I also purchased the kingfisher woodworks billyclubs, which are absolutely stunning. Thought you guys may appreciate this :)

Damn! Solid info, my man. I appreciate it. You have any exact model numbers on those sweaters? (I assume the midweight is what he wears in the latter half of the season, which is what I'm going for.)

My James Perse pants arrived! They're not the screen-used pair, but they're twill, dark, and have the drawstring/pockets I wanted, so I'm pretty happy. Being one size smaller than I usually wear isn't a big issue, either. I can definitely squeeze into them already, and I'm planning to slim down even more anyway. I might give them the slightest dyeing (they're darker than they appear in photographs, but still a nice grey).

Hey man! Unfortunately no model numbers but he wears the thermal crew neck in the latter half of the season.
I think I found the right shirt last night by looking through the Carharrt site, so thanks for the heads-up!

Let me ask you this: I know you're using it for a mannequin, but how's the sizing of the thermal? I'm always torn been going L or XL, particularly since it's cotton and likely to shrink.

Got my Carhartt thermal in, and it's excellent. Only problem is I can't seem to remove the residue where the logo patch was attached. I tried soaking the thing in acetone and rubbing it out, but no dice. Anyone got another idea I can try?

Possibly Goo Gone could work? If the logo patch was an iron-on you could see if steaming it would help remove the residue.

Is there a specific type or brand of wraps that have been identified for the ones Matt wears under his ropes? Or will any generic black hand wraps suffice?

Does anyone know what the red shirt is that Matt is wearing underneath his sweatshirt in the final episode?
It's pretty much just a generic, dark red t-shirt from what I can tell. If you want a better look at it, he first puts it on in the episode where he and Karen are hiding from the FBI in the church undercroft after Bullseye's attack.

They're Men's pants!

I'm still not clear on which exact models the proper Carhartt sweatshirts are - can anyone here link me to the correct ones?
The one I went with was Model# 100639: Carhartt Base Force® Cotton Super-Cold Weather Crewneck Top. It's got great texture. A little long, so I might get it hemmed -- which would also solve my problem of the stubborn patch residue, which admittedly did get a little better after some ironing.

I got my Carhartt sweatshirt in today. I ordered a large (my normal size) and it fits really well. It definitely hugs my chest and abdomen and is slightly form fitting, but I think that matches with Matt’s look and fit in the show. Now begins the process of removing the label.

What type of material was the red suit made from? Red carbon fiber?

I was always told carbon fiber fabric does not work in garments of any kind because abrasion is a major problem since the fabric isn't sealed and the splinters are nasty

For anyone who wants some incredible reference pictures, there’s an auction of the costumes and props for Daredevil listed at Marvel Television Live Auction

Here’s some that I got of the mask and wraps:
