Unlimited Run Rick Deckard Blade Runner 1982 Trench Coat By ELS

The contrast buttons look like what were used to me in some screenshots, but I'm not sure--it's why I ask if someone like Mechanismo might have that info, since I don't definitively. I've found this one photo, which offers a blurry look at one of the buttons, but otherwise I'm sort of assuming the contrast ones are it without more to go off of.

What's the coat lining like? More photos of it on a real person in all the variations would be best--collar rolled down, collar propped up, buttoned up, but in general this looks really sharp. Massively impressed.
You can see here, buttons are two tone contrast.
I used satin/ polyester lining, but prefer cotton lining on body and satin in sleeves.

I agree with the contrast button choice. Deckard's button in this picture looks darn close to what you have on the latest, "Brilliant!" shots.

I'd never noticed the wide seam running vertical on the front of the coat until your last updates. Again, your attention to detail is commendable. My only comment is on the screen used coat, the sewing seems to hold the material flat to the coat. Your sample seems to allow a bit of flap or openness to the seam. I hope I'm making sense.

Your last update with the E/C sample has me chomping at the bit to place an order.

As to the color choice, I agree that the current E/C seems a bit too light. In a perfect world, I would vote for slightly darker brown with a hint of orange in the mix. So hard to say as we all know the color changes from picture to picture and shot to shot.

I really like the light brown of the current E/C sample. Ideally, would prefer slightly darker brown - hint of orange. I wouldn't let it keep me from buying one from you.

When you said that dyeing the fabric would change the shape / measurements, I am a bit confused.
Would the fabric be dyed first and then cut, sewn together? Is that where things change? Or would you sew the coats to our requested measurements, then they would be dyed and the shape / fit would change?
I would prefer the coat fit properly / to my measurements than being an "exact" color.

Agreed with some of the other voices chiming in that the Color for the version in most recent photos is a bit too light
- and also that Contrast Buttons are definitely the way to go

But I have a question (apologies Jameel if you already mentioned this)
Will there also be 2 Buttons attached to the underside of the Collar so that the collar can be fastened Closed when worn UP (similar to the style later borrowed for the look of K's Collar in BR 2049 ?)

Hoping so... my Abbyshot V.2 has that and I always liked having the option of wearing it that way :)

...oh, and Also just wanted to echo something Prefect42 said earlier; really impressed with your attention to Detail on this project - as well as your passion to see this be the BEST possible version of this coat

THANKS for all your hard work on this!

I might be wrong here but the bottom pocket should be out further from the opening of the jacket. In line with the top pocket.

Here's a few more shots of the pocket placement, but it also brings up another detail.

The other detail it brings up is how wide the jacket is. Because the pocket does not touch the underarm seam, and you can't move it back further without compromising that, it needs to be wider, yeah? There sound be more open space on both sides of the pockets, for sure.

So, wider, right?

Last thing I noticed, but I think the piping goes around the neck from one side to the other under the collar. Makes the most design wise I hope these details help you guys get closer to the jacket you love. I've enjoyed reading up on this progress.

I was talking about finish coat dying process (that called garment dying). We always dying fabrics then make products.

There are both side buttons as you can see my first sample.

Thank you dirtyjawa to let me know.
The movie is definitely big size than our coat.
Sometimes pockets, placement and other small details have to be replaced due to jacket/ coats sizes.
You can see here this is "M size coat and don't have more space to move pocket toward back.

I noticed it and mentioned my post #25 I had fix it I think it's still need more tweaks.
Thanks again for pointing this error.

Thank you guys for your critic, suggestion, information.
So we have fabric color issue, you describe it but I need reference to develop right color, could you share any image here?

I didn't dye these fabrics, I'm just asking advice. I'll dying EC fabric whatever color we decide.

I get it. You can't move the top pocket closer to the opening because of the inside of the pocket. Unlike the bottom which opens from the top. Would it be safe to assume an XL (big enough for a guy 6'1" 190lbs) would have the correct placement?

And as far as the piping you have it only to go up to the collar and and stop in post #25, not to go behind the collar and come down the other side. Both sides should connect, I think. In my photo you can see it go curl behind the neck and the piping go over top the shoulder seem. I don't think it stops at the seems of the collar like on your prototype. I could be wrong, tho.

No, it's ending on shoulder center, although we don't have any good reference yet.
It doesn't make sense piping go around neck.
