Limited Run Blade Runner Roy Batty Trench Coat!

Hello everyone,
We were tweaking our Roy Batty's Classic coat.
IMO, now it's most screen accurate coat.

Okay ya’ll I bought this jacket awhile back and I specifically asked for the orange trim and Jameel Ur was beyond gracious enough to accommodate my every request. Now might be its first outing. I’ve brought it out of state, I live in Arizona for context. And it’s wet and cold where I am for a work convention. I want to paint the orange in a “******” way so that it might age similarly to the real one. Like I said I am out of state so I don’t think I have access to supplies like angelus or other leather type dyes/paint, also I think they’d be far too resilient compared to whatever they used originally. My first thought is to grab black shoe polish and go at the orange but I want to know what the experts here think.

My suggestion is if you want the black to peel off at certain spots exposing the orange, I would use cheap hobby acrylic paint. It will get dry and after a while, when you bend the leather, the acrylic will crack and peel off?
