Now I can breath.......gratuitous link to No 1 :)
Oh man this is a work of art!

No 3 ready to go.

This is shipping? There is something seriously wrong (warp/flaring) with the dome.

The painting and finishing on the helmets is beautiful. The casting... in particular of the dome (left side) with the flaring... For the price of this helmet, that dome needs correcting before it ships.

Yeah I’m not the best photographer It’s just needs repositioning and adjusting it’s a trick of the camera I’ll take better pics later nothing will go out till I’m happy with it.
Any pictures I put on here are just as I’m tinkering away.
Trying to photo the helmets sometimes is like trying to photograph a chameleon if I’m honest

This is not a trick of the camera. The dome is sitting flat on the faceplate.
It’s not actually sitting flat there are some bolts in the top of the helmet which I’ve yet to adjust and as it sits on the mannequin head because it’s got his cellophane still on it moves about a bit so when I adjusted it, I will more than happily post pictures for review thanks for pointing it out though I’ll be mindful not to post pictures that are not fully representative of the final piece

I don’t suppose anyone can tell me the focal length of the lens the production photo was taken with, if I knew that I could make a comparison and I can see where I’ve gone wrong?
The photo could have been taken with a 50mm, 35mm or something else. My old Iphone has a 26mm lens I think using my Google foo?

Or dose anyone have an orthographic blueprint from LF that they are happy to share with me about how the dome should sit? And if so do they have multiple blueprints for each helmet considering how many different helmets were used during production?

I’d really like to get it best I can so any help appreciated

I'm a photographer, and I've photographed numerous lineage Vader and Star Wars helmets. That dome warping isn't a lens trick.

To get a good non-distorted vader helmet portrait, you need to be at least 6 ft from the helmet, with at least a 50mm lens. An 85mm lens from at least 6-8 ft would be best.

TM ANH with an EFX Dome (below), has a flared neck.

These were just diddling around with my camera and lenses from 6-8 ft from the helmet, next to a large window.
