Re: Free Paper Prop Thread #4 - 2009

I did that map :)

You made a great work with it:)

Oh, you're the man Contec! Thanks so much for sharing your blank map file! :thumbsup

Hi BazzanoJones
Many thanks :thumbsup and welcome to the FPR! :cool

Just to let everyone know, incase you did not catch it (I didn't at first), "Scarica" & "Scarica foto" is Italian for "download" and "download photo".

Hope to see more of your work and collection here, I did a very quick scan threw your stuff and it looks very cool :cool
Later, Petseal

Thanks for your kind words! I'll make a topic with my props on this board when I'll make some new pics of my various objects (I'm not satisfied about actual pics). :)

Sorry for the un-translated words, but I've erroneously thank that Picasa never translate words on the menu in other languages...yes, I'm dumb... :wacko :lol

Actually it was in English when I went to it. Perhaps it translates based on the IP of the browser?

I got to ask Alpha, knowing your love of 20,000 Leagues, have you put the paper nautilus together?

I did try. It's a lot bigger that I thought. I printed it out on 8.5 X 11 card stock. Worked on it off and on for several weeks. Took a three month break due to the frustration level. Then ... the keel would not fit to the hull! :angry I now believe that it was a problem in the aspect ratio of my printing. One must be careful when printing. I downloaded the pages into PhotoShop in order to amend a few things. I changed the entire color of the ship and, using PhotoShop, I removed the "head lights" that are printed on the lower bow of the hull.
Regardless ... It ended up in the trash. I am no model builder!
Now a friend in Tucson built it and it came out fine! Almost 22" long!
