Was the "Scream Awards" Bike provided by any one here???

Not that I know of, i think the Scream Awards production team went down to the museum to check the bike out with Peewee to take notes, he was there like two weeks ago. The scream awards play tomorrow on Spike TV.

Maybe someone provided the siren?

Back on the topic of building the bike... ;)

I got my project box all painted nice and black.

And judging from the museum bike pictures I'm thinking that 16mm maintained push buttons would be the correct size to use. I made a quick illustration in photoshop with the correct size box and 16mm circles for buttons. I also found a place online that sells what appear to be correct enough buttons.

Now, to bring this thread back off topic again, I just got back from a week of vacation. I took a little road trip out to Cabazon to see the dinosaurs, I've got to come back with the bike when it's done. Also, I didn't know that they are now a creationist museum. :-/

I also saw this painting in an antique store in Santa Barbara.

Ruddigger,

Originally i thought the buttons were bigger too... They seem like they would be but they are actually on the smaller side. Here is a comparison of the screen cap to the buttons i have that are 12mm. I tried to get the perspective correct but this was the best i could do with my phone.

in that case I wonder if the box we have decided on using is too big. Look how much extra space there is on yours. Hmm.

Rudd rigger it might be the case that the box is wee bit bigger, I have yet to get an great image of a top view of the box with the buttons, I put it in illustrator and compared it to our boxes and they're very close.

That's what I said, right before I bought a bike. ;)

I will keep an eye out for the bike so i can hopefully start one in the future. Until then, i'm in too deep with the trying to make the most accurate Proton Pack i can.

I've only been into props for a year and although i love everything, this is only the 2nd prop i will even consider attempting. I have odd taste, and this is right up my alley :lol

Dude this is so an epic thread amazing man. I have to show my uncle the progress on this. He loves the movies.

Haha, thats what I was planning on doing, making my own button. Yours looks so good though I thought you actually found it.

The button is three parts. You can put a spring in it so it functions. You could also wire it up to function if you wanted.
