Yep, go to the official Spider Man 3site. There's a big headline that says that it is not just a B&W photo.

So, the question is: will they do the Todd MacFarlane version or the later big mouth, big teeth, long tongue and lots of saliva version?
I'm hoping for the MacFarlane version... but I guess I'm just a minority on that issue...
The brick pattern looks raised to me. Wonder how this was accomplished? The discussion on the lense is like seeing Elvis in a rust stain, you brain will fill in information with what it already knows. I can see both a building with windows and a fire escape and what could be a goblin mask.

I think it's pretty cool. I've always liked the black spidey. Plus if that means we get to see Venom in S3 then WOOHOO.
But, I would never wear it to a movie premiere. I'm geek at heart. Not by reputation. B)

How do you know Venom is in the movie? As of now, all that's official is that Topher Grace is cast as Eddie Brock but that doesn't mean Venom is in the movie. Plus, the symbiot is only with one person at any one time. If it's with Spider-man that means there's no Venom. I'm thinking they might throw him in at the ending like they did Harry Osborn at the end of pt. 2 and then cut it off. We seriously cannot have 3 villians in one Spider-man movie, especiallv villians of this caliber. Raimi said he wants to make a ton of these spider-mans like 6 or 7, and if he throws in this many villians in one, he's gonna run out of the good ones.

I can't say that I like the idea of just monochroming the traditional spidey and calling it the symbiote costume, but I'm not sure that's what happened here so I'm suspending all judgement on this until I can actually see a screen capture of the suit in better lighting.
I would have just avoided Venom altogether, but if they were going to get into the symboite thing, then I think they really should have given the old black and white design the same kind of update that they gave the classic blue and red for conversion to film. I understand that you can't just stick him in spandex and expect it look good, but it seems like a bit of a cop out to do it this way. *shrug*
Honestly, I didn't care for the other two movies anyway, so I probably won't go to see this one. So far the best acting in /any/ marvel comics-based movie has been from Doc Oc's tentacles. :lol

A. Yes he fights. Again, he will fight Spidey with Sandman at the end, the movie leads up to this "battle royale" at the construction site. GG will also join in the fight, but not on the sides of Ven/San. GG fights with Spidey instead.
A.I've seen the costume of Venom (yes hes in it, but only towards the end) and its extremely cool. Think all black latex with veins all over his upper half, reaching over onto his arms. However the veins also shape into the Spider thats on his chest in the comics (no white). Venom will be a little larger than. spidey. Basically the bad version of spidey. Venom has nasty teeth, no where near exaggerated in the comics. Just really sharp yellow teeth, very fang like, it will be prosthetics. Tongue will be CG.
