Done / Completed Luke / Vader ANH shared stunt saber kit

Hey there,
a huge amount of work done today, my Mum came to help a bit for the end of the run. I was joking that we would finish the run today, but there is still a lot left to do of course. But we did a lot of wiring for sure!

My mom is expert at knitting, lace and stuff like this, so she did an amazing job figuring out a solution to twist the wires and have them keep their shape, and the result looks super clean, i'm really happy with that free labour ahah, she did great!

lots of wiring done, attaching all those Anderson plugs, very hard on the hands and fingers! but a lot done today. I have more than half still to do though as we haven't touched the red ones yet! (I need to see if I can shorten them first too)

all the Static assembled sabers just need their end cap glued but are basically done. they are super cool :) You can really enjoy the twisted wire there :)

Nothing more cool than he family getting involved! Love it man!

First successful assembled motorized saber :)
I couldn't say the rod was turning the first time I turned it on, it turns very straight, I must have made a good job aligning all this I guess :)

I hope the video will work from the phone directly
edit: looks like it's working, yay!

Hey there,
first of all, thank you all so much for all the kind words, it's really not often that I get that many replies to a post and all your kind words mean so much to me. thank you very much!

My mom came to help me again today as there was still a lot of small tedious tasks to do that we could do together, and we did a lot of work today again! We are very close to the finish line :)

first off, I started shortening the red connectors to be accurate to what we see in the movie. Those connectors used to be made long or short and we can only find long ones now, so I milling all the red ones shorter for accuracy :) details matter :)

115 to do, it takes a while!

here is a nice lightsaber assembly line for the motorized version! next step is soldering the motors to the wires in the emiter end of the sabers and pushing the motors inside.

Just a few more days :)

A quick word for the release:
As this was a quicker project and I normally release stuff on my website without reservation, the interest list is not considered a reservation list like I exceptionaly did for the Barbican project, it was just to get an idea on how many sabers to make. For info and reassurance, the interest list was 47 sabers, and I made 63 for sale (2 extras for me :) ), I'm hoping everyone gets what they want.
To make things smoother though and give a better chance to my faithful customers as well as people from the list, the release will be done in two steps. For the first 48h, only previous customers that are on this run's list will have access to the saber category. People from the list that have never ordered before can register on the website and send me a message with their name here so I can add them to the VIP customer group anytime between now and the end of the 48h of release.
After 48h of the release, the saber category will be made public and everybody will have access to it even if not on the interest list.
This will give an absolutely fair chance to people on the list to get what they signed up for and I hope everybody will be happy with this.

I spent about an extra 2 weeks of work for the Barbican project handling all the sales privately, waiting for people and making private carts that I sent by email. I did this because I was so late and the project was very demanded and I wanted to be fair to everyone, but that took a huge amount of time that I can't take everytime.

final prices and more infos to come in the next few days when things are ready, still a bit of work. Just wanted to explain this already so people are aware of how this will go.

Cheers all :)

Hey, just a quick message, i received quite a few messages right away to be added to the pre-release VIP list, you need to be on the interest list for this and have created an account on my website first. Please send me a message with your account name on the website and i'll add you to the early release list after this.
website: supergreenprops.com
If you don't create an account, i can't do anything.
thank you :)

Edit: I have added all customers I already know to the VIP list and they now have access to the empty category "Luke ANH stunt saber" on the website, if you see it, you have access for the early release, if you don't, that means I don't know your real name and account.
Cheers

8 AA batteries - So, 12 volts eh? This is so cool!
I've ordered from you more than once, so I knew I had an account, but I just doublechecked anyway!
Ready when you are!

Yes indeed, 8 AA batteries, 12V power :) those motors are supposed to be a bit stronger than the 6V or so other kinds. Hopefully they don't break early!
Cheers
