Interest KRULL - "The GLAIVE"!!! Metal-casting KIT!!!

Been away a bit, just got the notice..I’ll send payment when I get home .. looks awesome… bummer it’s a kit, (i’m not the best as some people here) but I really look forward to completing this.. I understand the time it takes to create full ones. Thank you for still offering this item…

Maybe if there are some talented members here on the RPF, they should by multiple kits, finish them, and sell them off in the junkyard with a bit of profit for those of us who are not that talented? ;) I'd love to get one of these in finished form, but $2000 is a bit steep (But I guess it's more of a "symbolic" price Brenton has put on a finished glaive.)
Anyway, I do hope there will be popping up some finished ones in the junkyard in time...

Deposit sent. Yes, if someone Here is very good at the painting side of things they could offer a service to have a members order sent to them to finish off and then send off to us. I haven't ever painted much in the way of small detailed items, but I'll give it a go.

I don't have picture yet, but here's a list of what is included...
1 - Chrome-Plated Metal Glaive Body (w/ Green & Red Resin Inlays)
5 - Chrome-Plated Metal Blades
2 - 35mm Clear Swarovski Crystals
10 - 5mm Red Swarovski Crystals

What you will need to buy to finish Glaive...

Gold Leaf Adhesive Pen

Gold Leaf (This particular Gold Leaf is on sheets of tissue, making it very easy to apply! Place it on the sticky surface you applied with the Adhesive Pen and it peels right off!)

Testor's White Gloss Enamel Model Paint (Plus, thin paint brushes)

Testor's Paint Thinner

Precision Tip Cotton Swabs (These are good for adding a little paint thinner and cleaning up small mistakes in tight corners, which may happen!)

SuperGlue Gel
I know it may be a bit of a pita, but if you have any tips better shown than written any small tutorial videos of you doing certain steps or anything would be awesome! We will need the biggest detailed pics we can find also to go by. Sorry, I haven't been back over this thread in a LONG time. Excited this is happening, thanks!

Don't worry! I will baby-step you guys through the whole process! I'm not going to just sell you kit and say 'Goodluck'...
I'll make diagrams of what gets painted white and what gets gold!
I'll go over every step and guide you along the way, and answer every question you have as you work on your kit.

Also, if you do not want to mess with Gold Leaf, this Gold Leaf Pen, which is actually just a Gold Paint Pen, is probably the best Gold Paint I have seen that has a really nice luster to it. So, this would be my second best way of applying Gold to the Rune sections of the Glaive.

If you've already answered this already, I apologize... it's a long thread. Do you have any recommendations for NOT permanently affixing the blades? I mean, I'm in on this run regardless (already put in the deposit), but I'd love to have a way to display it with the blades secure, but also have the prop work without the blades attached.

You can add a little tape to the base of the blade to make them fit snug without gluing them.

"KRULL"

~ The GLAIVE ~

This is a new run of the "GLAIVE" from the 80's Cult-Classic film "KRULL"!!!

I partnered up with my friend Bruce, who is amazing at 3D modelling, to help bring to life the most accurate representation of the "Glaive" to date!

Measurements and details were meticulously replicated from photos of the original prop!!!

So, you are getting an extremely accurate casting of the original Glaive, and you can't get any closer to owning the original prop than owning this beautiful replica.

Static display piece only, with no retracting blades!

THIS WILL ONLY BE OFFERED AS A KIT!!!

The KIT includes the Chrome-Plated Bronze Metal Body w/ Blades, Green & Red Resin Inlays already applied, and 12 Swarovski Crystals!!!

You will only have to paint the 'White' accents, apply the 'Gold Leaf' on the Runes, and glue on the Crystals and Blades!

I would offer to do it, but it is very time consuming and too much for me offer at an affordable price...
...but, I am going to apply the Red and Green Resin Inlays to make it a little easier! ;)

To finish this kit, it really doesn't require much skill... It's very easy, and just a lot of time involved for paint and glue to dry in stages...

I've done the hardest part for you, by pouring the Green & Red Resin Inlays.
Plus, I will provide guidance and instructions on how to complete the Glaive as well!

Every detail is crisp and exactly like the original! As you can see from the photos below, you can see the details match the screen captures exactly!

Dimensions: About 14 inches in diameter

Price: (Shipping NOT Included!)
Estimated to be between $425 - 450 USD. Depending on what shipping from the factory will be...
A complete ‘Finished’ Glaive, will be $2,000!

Im going to try small magnetic strips when mine comes.
