Yeah but takes some out of the fun of just being honest. It's also a handy tell to spot a replica with.

There was so much wrong with the 2021 forgery... woooo!!That was one of the first details I looked at when the 2021 forgery came onto the scene. We had the Jein hero as a reference, with its single plant-on rail, and Velcro on the other side. That gave us a basis for the construction technique used on the other heroes.
This second phaser now confirms it.
The problem is that future forgeries may well take this into account. Which is why we need to be vigilant.

Ugggg and that individuals parts are not accurate... disgusting to use on such an important propI now find myself wondering if John Long restored the missing parts on these props (I'm told that the phaser meter and brass handle butt plate have been replaced, along with the comm's moire ring and graphics) with replica parts made by the very same vendor whose parts were used on the forgeries.
The mind boggles.
Oh stop.... you of all the folks here know exactly what I mean as we have talked about this at length...Not enough to keep it from selling for a quarter-million on the off chance that it might be real, unfortunately.
If the buyer had just waited three more years...
As Long (see what I did there?) as it looks right....I now find myself wondering if John Long restored the missing parts on these props (I'm told that the phaser meter and brass handle butt plate have been replaced, along with the comm's moire ring and graphics) with replica parts made by the very same vendor whose parts were used on the forgeries.

How dare you speak about the (J)et (P)ropulsion (L)aboratory like that. Oh, strike that. I think you may be correct though on the parts supplier if he did repairsI now find myself wondering if John Long restored the missing parts on these props (I'm told that the phaser meter and brass handle butt plate have been replaced, along with the comm's moire ring and graphics) using replica parts made by the very same vendor whose parts were used on the forgeries.

It really does make me sick to see people that can't build honestly and just come out admit to being the ones that have skills that good.
Here's a mystery phaser for everyone...... (yes I would actually like to figure out which replica this is)

My memory seems to recall the tale of a third discovered hero…
A hero with a Phaser One and Phaser Two that had been separated for years and then united, like the mythical Power Sword from the Masters of the Universe?
A hero that was…
Nevermind, I believe that thread is closed.
Which was then the basis for the DST designThe base is a 23rd Century Pistol Kit.
Yes and no I have a 23rd century phaser already... It's like some sort of recast as some of it is just different in a weird way (see attached pics)The base is a 23rd Century Pistol Kit.
