JFcustom's FOAM files

Re: FOAM speed building files'n'tricks ►DeathStroke helmet◄ added

I noticed that just changing one dimension alters the other 2, so my next question is which dimension is the best to use H/W or D?
What i'm trying to say is which dimension of my head will give a wearable helmet?
You should use the measurement tool. Right click on the 2D view, select the last entry "measure distance between two points". Then click two points on your 3D view to display the distance between them. Modulate your scale ratio until this distance matches you expectations. For me, around 150mm from temple to temple, or 170mm from ear to ear... The hardest part is measuring your own head.

Also is it possible to put Sharkheads helmet into a non exploded view in order to scale correctly?
Yes I've been asked for it... I'll seriously have to do that one day.

Re: FOAM speed building files'n'tricks ►IM Extemis v2◄ added

My brother wants a Mk V suit, and I'm want a MKVII, but that might have to wait till I've built my Space Marine Armour

You can consider it as the extention of the multi-hero cowl shared earlier. This suit is very permissive and it only needs your imagination to be tuned into almost whatever you want.
Have a look at Durkness's thread -> here <-

I only unfold for foam, but nothing is pass-locked here and anyone is free to edit and share anything.

Awsome jfcustom thanks for being so kind sharing all these fab unfolds I have a complaint though your giving me to much I wanna build lol ;)

Re: FOAM speed building files'n'tricks ►Cyberman◄ added

Alright, i got the Best Step foam mat from SEARS - thanks for the info on where to find that, guys! I think with one roll (48"x93") we should have enough foam for mine and my brother's costumes we're making. :) If not, the roll was cheap enough at $25 that we can go and get another one.

Re: FOAM speed building files'n'tricks ►Cyberman◄ added

Hi JF,
Thanks for all of the amazing work you have been sharing with the rest of us. You must have a very understanding family who lets you spend all this time at the computer surrounded by foam cuttings and hot glue.

Have you come across any files for foam Halo costumes? Or are you planning to work on any yourself?

Thanks again.

Re: FOAM speed building files'n'tricks ►Cyberman◄ added

Thank you :) You know my workshop and my home are at the same street address, and since I'm the boss when I'm fed up with work I can play with foam without invading anyone.
And no, I don't give into Halo stuff. The 405th is there just on this purpose, and anyway these square suits full of details are not speed-building compliant.
Let's see if I can rise an army of Cybermen instead ^^

JF,
I am VERY happy to see that cybermen file. I am half tempted to build another cybus style just to try the files! When I was at TimeGate I was swamped by doctors! That was proof enough we NEED MORE cybermen of any era!
