Indiana jones Abner Ravenwood journal

I've bought the PDF recently and started my own, only I've decided to add quick sketches to most pages, as long as there is room for one (I'm not too fond of writing, but I like drawing). I'm using a Schaeffer old fountain pen in this one, even though the paper takes the ink only so, so, but I didn't want to go for ballpens. Here are the first pages, if anyone is interested..
A few more pages. Again, I'm sticking to the text and only adding quick sketches where I see fit

Where did you find the PDF?

It's mostly text, but it has several pictures, although none of the Tanis excavation nor the Staff of Ra, as Ravenwood never found Tanis itself. I actually did my research on line to fill in with pictures for most pages. Still, you can find a bunch in the PDF

I did my own diary a while back. It’s a Magnoli distressed and the Etsy PDF. I used several different calligraphy pens to try to give it some differences in terms of when it was written. My handwriting is terrible, I had to relearn cursive. I spent quite a few lunch hours hunched over the book. I think it took about three weeks. It’s not perfect but someone writing to themselves isn’t going to be great. I didn’t use any inserts that seemed out of the timeline or canon, certainly no pics from Raiders. I’m also not sure how many tickets and such would be kept. I did buy a vintage map, and with a couple of the trimmed photos I also printed on the backside some magazine content as if stolen from a book or mag. I went light on the inserts, some of the ones in this thread are amazing and I may someday utilize those.

Nice! If you use solely the PDF, you did not use any of the fully sketched pages that can be found here in the forum, like the map of Tanis or the staff of Ra, I assume? I had a hard time to fit those in my own copy, I guess there are different versions of this journal around?

Correct. Much like some inserts, I don’t necessarily feel those appropriate for the context. Even within the text and sketches given to put on the pages I skipped some bits and rewrote others. It’s not like anyone will ever read the thing, it’s more for atmosphere. Someone may flip through it and give it a slight ‘ooh’, assuming they are Indy fans, but sit and read it….nah. Much like the grail diary, there is or can be stuff inside I don’t think someone researching but not yet finding the grail would have knowledge of. Since the entire Ravenwood diary is made up, make it how you wish.

Do you know where I can find free files that I can print to make my own? Thanks
If you are looking for free paper props for the inserts, this is the right place to do so. I downloaded all of my stuff from RPF. The journal content, itself, though, is on sale on Etsy by BBPropStudio (in PDF, quite cheap), so, to my best knowledge, there's no printable version out there. The extra sketches in the pages I extracted from archeological documentation all around the Internet.

Thanks mate!

So as we are saying that it is Abner Ravenwoods journal Indy uses in the map room ect then Abner must have sent it to Indy, we also know that Abner was in Asia and according to Indy's timeline from the book The Ultimate Guide he was somewhere in the Himalaya's, so i've decided to make the packing it was sent in by Abner to Indy and decided to do it similar to the Grail Diary packing and so i've shared the template and all the items you need to make one for yourself if you wish, i printed the address direct onto the brown wrapping paper so it looked as if Abner had wrote it on i then printed out the stamps about 1-1/2 inch by 1 inch and glued them onto the brown wrapping paper and with the postmarks i did them the same way i do my Grail ones, you flip the image of them and print them onto a clear plastic sheet one at a time using an inkjet printer so the ink does not dry and then carefully, press the clear sheet onto the brown wrapping paper ink side down in the place you want it and it prints them on it the right way, plus looks like a real stamp was used, as for the date i used March 31 1936 as Abner's last entry according to the time line was March 30th 1936 so he sent it the next day so it was sent a few weeks before Indy had the visit from Major Eaton and Col Musgrove.
