Indiana jones Abner Ravenwood journal

Here's my finished Abner Ravenwood journal as seeing in Raiders of the lost ark, over 100 pages so to many to show all but did include one that Indy did in fact I did several pages wrote by Indy as you can clearly see him writing in it in the Well of Souls in Raiders, all the pages are hand written copied from from the pdf file which you can purchase from Brian Babich
Here they however map insert not the best quality and with aswan evnelope if you print two copies and then cut out the postage stamp and label and glue them over the other one it looks more authentic, with the Pan am tickets it prints out blank so you can fill in what ever details you want to

New insert for the Abner journal that i've just invented in photo shop posted my typed letter insert57c separate from Savoy paper insert57b in case you wanted to do a hand written version of the letter if not simple print insert57b reinsert into printer and print insert57c on to it remembering to move it down the page in order not to print over Savoy letter head, as always print two copies of envelope insert57a and cut out stamp from one and glue over the other one for that authentic look, i printed insert57d onto thick paper which i had soaked in coffee and once dry i used a bit more coffee to add a few stains in order to make it look like a piece of old parchment paper, also added my finished version of insert57d.

Don't know.
I always thought it was Indy's.

Kinda like many think that Fedora in TLC is Ravenwood.
Fedora in The Last Crusade is not Abner Ravenwood reasons why not #1 he was an old friend of Indy's dad so Indy knew him for many years #2 in the summer of 1912 Ravenwood was in Egypt with Marion following clues about Ark so could not be in Utah at the same time.

Yes I know.
I personally never thought he was, but like the note book there are many that think he and the book are Ravenwood.

Just browsing therpf and I noticed this page which interested me because this summer I completed a "Ravenwood Diary" based on the kit I purchased from Brian Babich.

The first thing I did was try to determine the page style based on the scene in ROTLA where Indy is in the Map Room and at a survey instrument. After a bit of investigation I found out the lined pages very closely resemble pages from small ledger books from the mid to late 1800s (search the webs for Wheatstone & Co. concertina ledgers). It then occurred to me that the notebook seen in ROTLA was not Ravenwood's diary, it was more likely a field journal notebook Indy kept with him for things like cataloging or oh I don't know...calculating survey distances and angles...etc.

In the ROTLA novel it describes Indy reading Abner's journal in a DC-3 as it flew over the Himalayas so it appears he did take Abner's journal with him...at least to Nepal. But I still don't think Abner would have written his journal in a ledger book, more likely a he wrote in a typical blank page journal of some sort.

Just my 2 cents.

Dylan Conway - thanks for the upscaling! Do you use native filters or a plug-in? the result is amazingly clear.
Your Welcome! I used two separate programs for these photos, firstly I used the app Remini to upscale the image, particularly the faces, then afterwards I take that upscaled image and put it into Vivid Pix Restore just to give it that extra resolution I wanted for the image.
Hope that helps in your works!
Also seeing Indy Magnoli, a man that inspired my love for prop making and film research when I was barely a teen, like my work just made 2020 a much better year for me

I've bought the PDF recently and started my own, only I've decided to add quick sketches to most pages, as long as there is room for one (I'm not too fond of writing, but I like drawing). I'm using a Schaeffer old fountain pen in this one, even though the paper takes the ink only so, so, but I didn't want to go for ballpens. Here are the first pages, if anyone is interested..
