From an 80s magazine I own. I have amassed a pretty large collection over the years looking for shots like that. It’s from the same shoot as the Teen Beat cover.
I found out that I knew the photographer that took all those shots, but unfortunately didn’t realize it was him who took them until after he passed unfortunately.
Knowing him there are probably tons more pics where hidden details can be seen.
Also, since I don’t check here much, appreciate the tag so I can hop in quickly.

It’s literally just a stack of magazines under my bed haha and I haven’t reached out to the photographer’s widow to possibly see more because I know her and want to respect her (especially since the anniversary of his passing just happened).
Most of the magazines have literally nothing to do with the jacket. I buy them in the hopes of finding a new pic, but rarely do.

Did HG get the vertical lines denim grey material right? i hope they have a bit rigid or thicker material this time, not as flimsy as the 2018.
2021 was the closest in weight and denim type. But as we know, the color wasn't great. It did have the vertical fade affect though. Their most recent pictures show a fabric with the correct dye color that will eventually be faded with their industrial chemicals. The purplish blue you see here is the correct color. Im sure the weight is decent too.
TheNickFox Would you know the measurement of this distance on your Guess jacket? From the tip of the leather piece, down to the very bottom of the seam where the pocket flap starts. I used the measurment of the snap from a screenshot from the movie and determined it to be approximately 5.315 inches or 13.5 centimeters. This distance is always different on 3 section waistband variants but I am just curious. On my personal project replica I made that distance 5.5 inches. Id rather it be slighter bigger than needed than too small.

Awesome. I'd really appreciate it. Thank you. And yeah no problem. Also Headgoonie is making final decisions on patterns very soon, so I'd like to be able to give them accurate info. I don't have my Guess vest on hand to get these measurements since Magnoli Clothiers has it right now. My first inclination is that the measurement on yours will be a tad under my approximate number for the screen used jacket, but anything is possible.

Big thanks to those of you endeavouring to get these jackets as close to screen accurate as possible, your attention to those tiny details most of us would miss is incredible. Does HG have a release date in mind for these jackets? Appreciate it's all still a work in progress so a specific date is probably premature, but I'm assuming the intention is this year to tie in with the 40th anniversary. Thanks.
No release date yet but I'm going to guess some time in October or November.

The snaps they have sourced we believe are too dark so I messaged them with a more accurate recommendation. It looks like they chose the option directly under the one I circled
For my size 18: 5.25 on the right side (wearer’s right) and 5 even on the left.
