Headgoonie Back to the Future 40th Anniversary Denim Jacket

Ah no worries. And off the top of my head, perhaps the height and width of the pockets. As well as the length of the arm triangles. These things tend to be off by considerable margins. Your size 18 jacket is good to base things off of for their size Small jacket. Id measure the pockets from my vest but it is currently in Pakistan for Magnoli Clothiers.
I can take more measurements of those parts when I’m back in NYC tomorrow night. I’ll send them to you and you can own sending them since I don’t want to create too much confusion or noise for them

Awesome. I greatly appreciate it. Safe travels.

anything you believe should be brought to Headgoonie's attention.
The Grey Denim weave is also sideways on that 2021 HeadGoonie jacket, it should be rotated 90 degrees as well just like the real Guess.

Pocket is 7.25x6.375”

Flap is 2.125x6.375”
IMG_3721.jpeg

Gap between pocket and seam is .375”
IMG_3725.jpeg

Front length of triangle is 7.75”
IMG_3723.jpeg

Back length of triangle is 9.25”
IMG_3724.jpeg

All measurements have a tolerance of .125” given the difficulty in measuring fabric, but I’m very comfortable with these measurements and would happily use them for my own projects.

EDIT: the triangle point is approximately 60 degrees (forgive the crudity of this model)
IMG_3726.jpeg

And the measurement from the top edge of the triangle to the other is 8.75”
IMG_3727.jpeg

Using an inline triangle calculator that gives me the following dimensions and angles (61.204 degrees instead of 60)
IMG_3728.jpeg

Finally, the top of the triangle extends 1.25” above the flat created by measuring between the top points of the triangle.

Let me know any other measurements that might be useful.

Fantastic. I've passed this along to Headgoonie. Thank you for taking the time to do this. I'm certain this info will be very valuable for the project.

Just added a few more measurements in an edit too, just to try to keep things as accurate as possible.

And here’s one more for good measure:

The shoulder seam is 6” and the back gusset is .75” (meaning the main back panel has a shoulder seam of 5.25”)

Okay that is amazing to see, I have a friend who wants to cosplay as Jennifer. I am always trying to find those Guess floral denim jeans with no luck.

Perhaps on that specific vest. On the jacket in the movie, It really does look like the main denim is running vertically.

Yes the apparent fade lines are definitely vertical. But that 2021 HeadGoonie Jacket has the grey denim sideways 100% though.
Every vintage Guess jacket/vest I’ve ever seen with the correct denim weave is perpendicular to that.
The tiny squares, or rather rectangles in the denim hopsack weave are wider than they are tall on all vintage Guess jackets, also the rectangles align horizontally and are staggered vertically just like a brick wall. (Except the collar, cuffs, & waistband; Those panels are supposed to have the weave patterned perpendicular/sideways.)

Anyone that has a genuine vintage Guess Georges Marciano Jacket or Vest with this type of Denim will confirm this is the correct orientation (except for the collar, cuffs, & waistband).
