i ust have watched the trailer about 20 times now an it makes me smile everytime!

Very nice trailer. Double plasma cannons are originally from the Dark Horse comics - the head Predator, TopKnot, packed a set during a raid on an Alien Hive to capture a Queen - but very cool to see in action anyway.

I must have missed where the name "Wolf" for the Predator comes from? Is it from an interview?

There were a couple of wolf fangs in that trailer, did anyone else see that??? But I thought they were attached to a human face...weird thing.

It is the nickname ADI gave the creature when t was designed... I thought at first it was like "a lone wolf" kinda thing, but I was later told what it directly referenced. Unfortunately I can't for the life of me remember what that was LOL!

If you notice in the trailer in the Command post/ops station when they are talking about "containment", the abbreviation on the monitor says "projected O.W.L.F contamination levels". A play on they "Wolf" name maybe? Any thoughts?

I thought on the monitors in Keyes' trailer it read "B.E.O.W.U.L.F." or "B.E.O.W.O.L.F.?"

I thought the cleaner theme was cool, and I also incorporated it into the clan I came up with. One of the members even has whips... but they come out of his gauntlets.

Garber and a few of his boys were alive at the end of P2, remember? and they'd just be 10 years older, 1997-2007...... But remember at the end of P2, he keeps saying we almost had him, then Harrigan says, "you'll get your chance *******"...... maybe another P2 tie in? tee hee

In my personal opinion, i think this movie should be a reboot . tie it in with the past predator movies and continue to build up and set up for the colonial army for the alien universe.

Like predator technology is the reason we have space flight and the reason you have the "bug stompers" slogan for the colonial army. think of episode 2 of starwars. the imperial army was created to counter the invading threat. same thing with the colonials.

or because of space flight, we started colonies on other planets, therefore a universal colonial army..

That's the real issue with AVP, they can NEVER tie it in to the old movies.

The ENTIRE point of EVERY alien movie is that Ripley (and cloned Ripley) is doing everything they can to keep the aliens off earth. I mean do we throw all that out and say "Oops, little did Ripley know they were carting them in a couple hundred years ago already!"? It makes no sense. Also do we forget that it was a Derelict space craft that crashed and brought the aliens to other worlds? It was never Predators transporting them, so again, it makes no sense. The race that was in that craft created the aliens as a weapon that got loose... and it wasn't Predators.

All they can do is make some references as a tribute to the old movies, but they could never tie it in, ESPECIALLY to the Alien movies, without it having some fairly MASSIVE holes.
