Re: IRON PATRIOT HELMET (99.9% movie accurate lol) :)

I have one of these and I'm ready to paint for Halloween.


Looking for advice on what colors people are using. I've seen "Duplicolor" a few times in this thread but I don't see that at my local Home Depot (mostly all Rustoleum). Any shade numbers or color names would be appreciated too.

BTW the helmet is just great.

Auto parts stores! Never thought of that. Thanks for the link.

BTW folks, don't kill yourselves trying to pep one of these helmets before Halloween. You want your helmet to be perfect since that's where most people are looking and these are just awesome.

BG how do you get those detailed black lines in your helmet? You say "inked", but I'm lost.

Well I normally do the base colours for the whole helmet, then take an acrylic ink, I use dark blue for the IP and just paint in the lines on the helmet. Once it s dry I just clear over the whole thing :)

Hi Big G, by the way are you still making the Iron Patriot helmet if still would like a raw cast and cheek with mesh and can you install the magnets on the face plate let me know today is 9/29 will it make it for Halloween if not it's cool then Ill give as a Chris mass gift. thank you and by the way sir awesome WORK
