Doctor Who - A Journal of Impossible Things (Novelized Version)

Yea, it was a gnarly one. On the plus side, it's time to leave XP in the dust. I'll be computing with the cool kids (no, not the Macs) in no time. :lol

Ugh, I hate the Macs. I still have a soft spot in my heart for XP. Windows 7 is the way to go though. I wouldn't go back now that I'm using it.

7 is taking some getting used to. It really bugs me that there's no up-one-folder button in explorer anymore. That was my most used button! Surfing my albums is a nightmare now.

Anyways, I tried to upload the file to sendspace twice and it keeps crashing my computer. I've never had that problem before, but it looks like I'll need a new site. Anybody have a recommendation besides rapid/megashare, etc. I don't want to host my file on a server of 99.8% porn.

I suppose any place that hosts files that size for free is going to be mostly porn, huh? I guess I'll just have to pick one.

Hey Risu, if you need a place to put that file up let me know. Got plenty of space at my website (taking it down soon) and you can direct link to it no problem. PM me and let me know.

Thanks! I've gotta give TheNickFox credit for making the Gallifreyan writing and taking the journal photo I used, though.

do you think yourself or nick could post a tutorial on screen grabbing please.
in the paper prop area ?

How do you mean, technique to getting good screen grabs, or just a basic how to actually accomplish it technically? If it's the second, you can just use the capture frame (or whatever it's called in the program you use) button in your chosen media or DVD playing program. If it doesn't have one and you're using Windows, you can use the print screen key and then paste that into photoshop.

@Risu .... Thanks for the cover dude. Saves me finishing mine for now. I'll get back to it at some point hopefully. It turned out awesome.

EDIT: Also, yeah, VLC is the best for me, especially the frame by frame function. Then I just copy and paste into photoshop (or Paint works just as good) and edit as needed.

Great work guys. Mmm I have VLC on this laptop I guess I should check it out as I need a screen capture program.

wow! How did i not see this thread? Great work guys! Risu, that looks fantastic! Where did you get that printed? you said Kinkos? BTW, that leather bound version doesn't look like the toy XD Where did you get that?

Also, Warmachine, I think yous is coming along very nicely as well. I'd keep going with it.

That is Risu's copy of the journal. He did 2 runs (I believe) of them. I still want one myself at some point too. They're gorgeous.

I will carry on with mine. It's just a matter of finding the time. My wife is a teacher so she's off for about 10 weeks now, so most of my time will be spent doing stuff (that I don't really want to do) with her lol. Once It's finished I'll post mine here too.

hi there, was looking to download the cover but the link no longer seems to be working?

Works fine for me. Have you got WinZip or suchlike installed?
Thanks for the cover Risu! Printed beautifully and looks great on Pack Animals. I should have posted a pic. Watch this space.
