Yes I used these images and a few other pictures when I made the master. I also noticed that some parts might have been wood. (It looks to have been put together rather quickly)
My replica will be as close as it can be regarding accuracy, but I will not make any parts out of wood.
It will be resin, aluminum, acrylics and real bolts.
UPDATE 1
Today the first test of the molds was done, they work great and the parts came out really nice.
This is the kit and how it will look like, aluminum plate and transparent front plates are not present in this picture.
Here is a test I made, putting the first one together. Bare in mind that this is a TEST and not the final prop.
I didn’t have the right thickness for the aluminum plate, so I had to use what I had in the shop, I will get the right aluminum within a few days.
I will also work out how to do the black front plate.

One question... on the front side of the binocs, the prop looks fairly black, the eye holes are not very visible. I know the closeup of the prop suggests otherwise, but how will it look, for yours?
Good question!
It can have both!
If you look at the prop from sceneused, there is clear plastic in front of the holes so you can see through the lenses.
And on the screen grab from the film it has black in front of the eye lenses.
The kit will come with an all clear acrylic plate that fits over the front space of the binoculars, and you can paint it black on the backside, all black (like the screen grab) or black but clear for “see through” (as the screenused prop).
