Even though it's not accurate to the reveal, I much prefer the chin vent of the ANH. Awesome job.
Thank you! This is very much an “idealized” helmet and not meant to be accurate by any means. And yeah the original chin vent was just way too big.Even though it's not accurate to the reveal, I much prefer the chin vent of the ANH. Awesome job.
This is so much better then it was when you got it, congrats!

A true thing of beauty.
Thank you! Not so sure I'm going to attempt to do anything more on the mask itself but I might do some mods to the dome! It definitely needs it...Great job on the neck, this is the kind of modding i like to see, not just an updated paintjob.
Now, do something about the eyebrows, the mouth sides and that hideous dome!

That would be awesome!I might do some mods to the dome! It definitely needs it...
I still need to build a stand and finish the metal mouth grill but I’m pretty happy with the way this turned out!

Can’t wait to see what type of stand you whip up!
Those look awesome! I was considering doing the same thing if I ended up displaying the inner jaw.View attachment 987157 View attachment 987157 Decided I didn’t like the rubber ones so I made spun some aluminum ones on my lathe
Thanks for the kind words bud! They came out pretty good for just eye balling them.Nice! These little details make a heck of a difference!
You're going to be swamped with requests for metal parts now...

How did you extend the neckYour earlier photos of your next extension are what motivated me to do it on mine. It's crazy how much it adds to the balance of the helmet as you said. Yours looks fantastic! The paint job on yours looks great as well.
Did you use the Fram air filter mesh on yours as well? Where did you get the smaller mesh for the mouth?
