Thanks a lot, I was more thinking about printed prop.
I have question about egypt and sinai map, where is it visible in the movie?
For now I have 2 french banknotes, and the map, not received the italian nor US stamps for now, but those will be delievered to my mother's house, and maybe already delivered.

I dont think it's actually seen in the movie (with the exception of the blued lined arabia map that can be seen in the zepplin scene) but those that have studied and got there hands on the actual diary prop from the movie have shared the info about the Arabia maps.

I'm hoping someone here can help me. I'm working on doing the eastern telegraph which is pasted in the back of the grail diary. I've attached the stamp which goes on the form and the back of the telegraph but I need the white background on the stamp to be transparent and the white section on the form to be either white or transparent so when it's printed it matches with the front. (my photo skills are basic and I can't seem to get this to work)

By the way the text on the telegraph is date: 23.5.23 and handwritten "arrive at state guesthouse today afternoon. Fielding. Enjoy. E.

As you requested, made the stamp and back of telegram transparent, but was also upscaled, so you'll have to downsize it when printing; also took the background of the front and added to the transparent back inverted (mirrored vertically):

I don't know if the other side of the telegram is visible, but I increased the contrast and lowered the brightness of the image, than mirrored and converted to grayscale:


You can read the title Via Eastern, a stamp on the left and 2 overlapped on the right, hand noted D2 and B.

Can anyone help me with what type of leather is best for binding the diary, I'm doing a test version to see whether i could do it.
As it turns out I can but my test leather seems to be too thick.
Has anyone got any links to good leather please

Thank you very much for your help. Is the back of the form here transparent? I was wanting to print the form double sided and was worried that the yellow hue of the paper in the back would make it seem very different to the front. I would then tea dye it later to give a uniform aged colour to the form. The specific telegram used here is the one used in the grail diary (and also the movie passage to India where the prop was first used) which is why I was trying to replicate the form like this.

The only way I've worked out how to double side print images like this is to add them into a word document (and sometimes create pdf) and send it through the printer.

There's also an envelope which goes with the form which the telegram is stored in for the diary.

Remember to avoid file conversions before printing. Sometimes converting between types will load white into blank areas and you lose the benefit.

When you print these, the most accurate paper for them is newsprint.
