2. Get a Magnoli jacket
3. Get a Magnoli vest
4. Get that vest.
Which is the best purchase, long-term? I'm worried I won't still be into BTTF when 2026 (predicted new HG year) rolls around.

I'd wait for the next Headgoonie jacket as they are able to decently replicate the correct fabrics. There is a possibility they don't make the necessary changes to be worth it so keep that in mind. For the vest I'd go with Magnoli Clothiers as their patterns are taken directly from a real Class-5.

I haven't seen them deviate from their schedule of every 3 years. They might announce it near the 40th anniversary but it won't be released at that time.

Interesting find today. The arms from my genuine Guess jacket are the same length as my HG replica. So these arms need to be cut down for the cuffs to be added. I will not be doing any cutting or sewing myself. That will be left to a professional. This will be noted for when it is in the hands of Magnoli Clothiers.

I had the 2021 jacket from HG. The genuine jacket I used for the arms was a jacket that had red leather shoulders. My thread explains all of this.

Oh I suppose I should correct my statement about HG diverting from their 3 year release schedule. They did make a 2023 jacket. Which would make the gap only 2 years. But it was almost the exact same thing but with cheaper denim and pattern tweaks.

My Paris Express jacket is a light grey acid wash with dark grey leather shoulders. If I ever see one of them again, I'll let you know.

I ended up finding a grey denim/brown leather Guess jacket from 1985/86 which I'm pretty happy with. These are the earlier versions with the GUESS liner and same denim as Marty's jacket. It's gonna take like a month to ship to Australia unfortunately, getting these jackets to Australia is an expensive and long process. I'm jealous with how much more accessible these vintage Guess jackets are in the US. Regardless, it's another one to add to the collection.

My other two Guess jackets. The denim/black leather one I bought a few months ago and apart from that one listing I can't find any other photos of this jacket model online.
