J as i said before, that thing is awesome, you really have been busy huh, im glad to see it and the wait has been so worth it, it really does look like the prop being built there bro, nice brim trenches too LOL. Dude you could teach me a thing or two.

Hey bro thanks . :)

I guess I have nothing to teach you regarding your scratchbuilt Y Wing and Snowspeeder .

Yes the brim trenches are amazing . I have to say that Lee gave me all the brim trenches . Big thanks to you bro . And gratz to the master maker and caster LeeJustin .

Bro, you are on all my project as you can see lol And you will be on the Y Wing too . :D

Dude your welcome, anytime, just glad to help you out on this amazing project, and yes Mr Justin did a great job on them, and id rather you use them Julien than they sit in my bits box and never get used.

I'm pretty sure oneday you will build an ISD too .
If you would build her at the same scale than mine, I could help you with a lot of details :D

Me build a big ISD? man you give me too much credit lol, if ever i did go for building one bro, id tell my girlfriend it was your idea :p and thats the reason we have to get rid of some furniture to make room :lol

Julien...duuuuuuuuude.

Absolutely beautiful.

Now comes the hard part... staying focused on the project. :p Many have attempted the SD and most end up loosing the WILL to stick with it until completed. I have seen many that have let it sit in a closet, room or garage for years,..never getting back to it. They were NOWHERE NEAR as complete as yours is now. I know you have not demonstrated this type of behavior and I want you to know that I have great respect for the individuals that actually reach the TOP of the mountain they are climbing and FINISH their goal. KEEP ON THE MOVE MR. TOX. Don't let anything stand in your way,.. especially yourself. YOU ARE VERY LUCKY to have the talent you have demonstrated to everyone viewing.

That said,... you continue to do AMAZING work.

I look forward to seeing this beastie COMPLETE.. :D

Keep up the GREAT work. :thumbsup :D :thumbsup

Is this a modelling forum or what?

[/b]
Good comment/question Bob.

I think these forums reinforce positive thinking for many (in today's harsh society). This is the reason so many post their own items,... for that positive burst they get from their fellow modelers. This is why this forum runs so fast and items get buried just as quickly, no matter how impressive they may be.

Tox is an AMAZING modeler. Of that we can ALL agree.

Can I get an AMEN on that?.. LOL. Sorry,.. the HOLY ROLLER jumped out. LOL.

This is some very quality and advanced stuff. The work stands out. It's beyond the ordinary and deserves to be complimented and encouraged. :thumbsup

Thanks guy .

I really appreciate your comments .

Thanks Lee, Hand, Kurt .

Get comments from you makes me blush .

I see only good comments, but if you think somethings are wrong or I'm on the bad way to do something, I have so many things to learn from you guys .

Regardings the progress...

Today I reinforced the internal structure, now it looks like the one of the real prop .

I put a 2" pvc pipe and I did the mounting points. Tomorrow I will do the stand.
There are 2 mounting points, one on the lower hull and one on the right brim trenches.

I have to buy more LED's, I have only 20 and it's not enough to light all the model...

When I started this project, I didn't how to do the mounting points (I suck with that lol), and I'm happy with the result .

I'll post some pics tomorrow .

OH MY GOD. Your work is stunning. I'm getting that old feeling again, like I might want to try this again. The one I did was a learning experience for me...my first scratch/kitbashed model. Then Vos did his and really raised the level of detailing. Now seeing yours makes me REALLY want to learn from my mistakes.

Again, your work is amazing and I can't wait to see the finished product. Keep up the good work.

Robert :)

Thanks Bigvade .

That's my third attempt to build an ISD .

I build one when I was 10 yo from carboard she was about 80 cm length. I drilled wholes and put a bulb inside.
She get an horrible destiny... A friend and me put gasoil on it and put in fire lol Great memories . :angel

The second was a 90 cm ISD build from Balsawood but the proportions were off (I used the AMT ISD as reference :rolleyes ), I was 15 or 16 yo, don't remember.

And I discovered large styrene sheet . Wow, that was the beginnin for me :D

I learned a lot of my first attempts, and I encourage you to try again . That's not a difficult project, just it takes long time if you want good details... But it's fun .

Here some new pics with the mounting point, there are 2 pics of me with her to give you the scale.
