Walking Dead Rick Jacket

Perhaps a size 10 in a more gold finish would be more accurate?
I’m not sure.. from looking around, gold finished zippers come across as to shiny and reflective to me but hey that may still be better - I haven’t found any in size 10 nor do I know just how big that would be compared to a size 8 so it may look to big including the zipper teeth, especially if Indy still ends up using a size 7 for the main zip like he did for Trevs jacket (but hoping that’s fixed now)

I'm looking to (finally!) place my order next week should my tax refund arrive haha, if the zippers seem to be correct I may order them separately in the future but I'm dying to get the jacket. Crazy how next Tuesday will have been 7 years since its first appearance!

I know! I’ve been waiting so long to finally order my jacket, I think the wait will be worth it considering just how much indys version has changed since he first started his run - something to keep in mind I believe when you order your jacket you’ll still get the standard YKK zips for the waist pockets. I had to go and find these zips myself, once my shearling come in I’ll be sending both to Indy for them to be used for my jacket.

Okay everyone, My shearling just came in the mail today and wanted to give you all an update.
So I actually had some shipping trouble which is why it took so long but it worked out because at the very last second I decided I wanted something different and asked if they could send another shearling they offered (they sent more pictures of what I was going to get and I wasn’t happy with the look)

the color still isn’t right but it’s more curly than the straight haired shearling I was going to get previously. let me tell you the quality difference in real vs faux shearling in undeniable so even though it isn’t perfect I’m happy with it.

for comparison I’ve thrown my fiancé’s jacket over top the shearling as I believe (from what I can tell) the color of the suede is fairly similar to that of the Belfast. What do you guys think?

Hey all, just DM'd Magnoli for some recent pics of the latest Grimes order they made and this is what I got. It looks like they took Razor1986 coloring into consideration and it looks a lot more accurate with darker suede and side lycra fabric looking more brown than red from the previous jackets.

I know I've mentioned placing an order before but some life obstacles got in the way, thankfully with the new stimulus I may pull the trigger and go ahead with an order with the updated coloring. I'm a bit iffy on the sizing and might be considering using Razor1986 's exact dimensions for the size L Ugg jacket to see if the shoulder shape is still an issue (Razor if you're reading this would you mind posting/DM'ing the size L measurements?); I'm hoping to compare that to my best fitting personal jacket and worst comes to worst the jacket is a little big on me (I'm 5'10, 41 Chest, athetlic build, about 175 lb).

If anyone else has any other suggestions for accuracy on my next order let me know soon please. As far as we know for current improvements we're working on: it looks like the suede coloring is better, the stitching coloring needs to be a lighter brown(?) the collar's on a case by case basis, and the sherpa is a factor of cost.

At first glance it looks pretty good, but only until I have seen pictures of the jacket in various lighting conditions and close-ups showing how the colors of the stitch thread and the suede match/contrast etc. will I be able to tell more. Also, it's hard to tell whether the pointy shoulder issue is fixed or not.

Anyway, here's a link to the measurements of the UGG in size L: UGG SIZE L

My first impression is the colors for both suede as well as ribbed fabric are an improvement but its hard to tell, to me it seems like the pictures look a bit washed out.

I will also say that in terms of the faux shearling used, its the best i've seen for Magnoli's replica (fingers crossed my shearling will turn out looking as good or better)

Nladyman mine is being made with the original L Ugg measurements and hopefully they should be starting on my jacket soon as they have received both shearling and zips that I sent to them. I keep going back and forth on if I want to use those zips as I think the color may clash to much.

When I receive my jacket i'll be sure to post a lot of pictures both indoor, outdoor, close ups, far away, wearing as well as laying flat

Also something I just noticed and worries me, it appears that the upper yoke seam isn't located 4cm from the edge

Its hard to tell but because this jacket looks like it has been made to measure that could be the issue here. Hopefully using the original measurements we wont run into this problem but we'll have to wait and see.

Yes. Well-spotted!

Also, the picture of the original UGG jacket you just posted has a fault: if you look closely, the suede at the left armpit is different from the right side:

Whenever I use this particular picture I use a fixed version:

Untitled-3.jpg

Anyway, there's also something off in the area around the armpit. The suede edge of the arm opening just below the horizontal chest seam is much shorter than on the original. I don't know if it's because the chest seam is placed lower on the jacket or because the suede edges of the suede panels at the front flare out less than they should, causing them to intersect with the edge arm opening higher up the jacket closer to the chest seam. Then again, the distance between the suede edge of the sleeve connecting to the arm opening does appear to be correct, so I'm inclined to say that it's the horizontal chest seam that should be a little higher:

I honestly don't know how these kinds of errors keep popping up whenever we get to see a new replica version. Perhaps it's indeed a custom measurements issue, but perhaps not...

Oh wow I honestly didn’t realize that! Also something I’ve wondered about for years with the stock Ugg jacket photo was the differences it has from the standard Version they produced, however last year I found a sold listing and it appears to be a very early run of the Belfast

Awesome, I'll be placing my order for the Ugg L jacket soon by my next pay stub once I finalize the details and make sure I include every detail.

As much as I wanna go for accuracy, I'm really digging the OG Ugg look on the collar as opposed to getting the Grimes version of shaping the collar so I'm still debating that. I'm also probably gonna have 2 interior pockets instead of one, still waiting on them to send me a picture of what interior lining designs they have available so I can choose a pattern or solid look.

I was worried about the zippers I sent clashing with the standard zippers Indy is using but good news Indy sent me a picture of both side by side along with the suede used in the background (im not sure if this is the updated suede or the updated stitch thread)

But now that I see the two side by side i'm happy with how close they ended up being

Personally I'm a bit puzzled by the suede. The piece of suede on the right appears to be much darker than the piece on the left side...

okay! I can clear this up with the second picture they sent, to me it looks like the first picture has both the old and new version of suede

Definitely looks darker I like that! Where did you order the zippers if you don't mind posting the link? I'm about to put in my order and I wanna send them the zippers for the side pockets.

Also did you ever find some decent Sherpa for the collar?

The zippers were just a find on Etsy so sadly no link..

also I’d say don’t worry about finding some and sending it to them solely for the price to ship it internationally.

also I did and sent that to Indy as well, here’s what it looked like next to my fiancé’s Ugg jacket

I think the color of that suede is a bit too brown-brown if you get what I mean. The color of the shoulder pads looks closer to the color of Rick's jacket. Either way it's difficult to use any other jacket for color references, because chances are huge that the colors are different, unless it's the same jacket from the same line.

I have an ugg jacket size small i bought off someone a few months ago, the collar has been altered and I will sell for a sensible offer
